Little Miss Perfect

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Little Miss Perfect Lovers! OMG! I cannot believe that I am admitting to the world that I just watch WE TV’s series, Little Miss Perfect! Have you heard about it? It is one of those child beauty pageant reality shows. It is just so strange. This little girl named Ashley is only 8 years old.

It was one of those hours I wish I had back. Now I am forcing it on you. Sorry, I just had to share and as we all know, there is only one……

LITTLE MISS PERFECT!

Please notice the eyeliner and bejeweled necklace. Then, I forced her to practice her hound tricks and sling drool on the judges.

More Little Miss Perfect later….Love Cat, Chaps and Emma

Eight years old!?!?! That’s how old my sweet little Hannah is! Child beauty pageants give me the willies!

Sling that drool, Emma! I’d rather watch you on the runway (or the couch) any day.

(Cat, I updated about my retina … thanks for your concern, it was a little scary).

This is really scary. To have a little girl focus on being beautiful when she should be learning to be a girl, not be in the spotlight. I feel sad for her. She isn’t learning the social skills she needs, just the stuff to be a “star”.

And I would take Emma on the runway anyday. She is a real natural – as are most Basset Hounds – to shine as a star.

When I was a little girl I especially loved the Miss American Pageant, but child beauty pageants leave a bad taste in my mouth. Just look how they have dressed her up and made her look much older than 8 years old.

Ashley does not look like a little girl.

I don’t like the idea of young girls in such things. I think they should be allowed to be children first. Its way to much pressure. My cousin has her girls in pagents since they were 4 years old.
I however could watch Emma all day long and cheer her from the side lines.

Emma doesn’t need make-up or jewelry, she is a natural beauty.

i honestly dont know what all the fuss is about i watched that episode of little ms. perfect and ashley really did enjoy the pagent and she won… she was beautiful and literally little ms. perfect. i think if the child enjoys it then you should let her do it… i mean shes not actually high matinence all the time for crying out loud look at her interview on national televison. she is adorable and sweet and i think that as long as the child is having fun doing what they r doing they should be allowed to do it, btw does ashley’s parents have ne idea about what u r saying about their daughter?

I could give a flying Eff what dumb chit Ashley’s parents think about what we are saying about their spawn. The DC parents are the ones that are parading her about the pedophile community. It’s called freedom of speech. These children look ridiculous.

First off i would like to say not all pageants are bad. But when you make a little girl think shes only beautiful when u hide behind gobs of make up, fake hair and fake teeth thats pushing it. I have 2 daughters and if they wanted to be i pageants i would let them but it would be just their selfs cause they have perfect skin no need for make up. They shouldn’t put it in their kids heads that being fake is the only way to make it. My girls know their beautiful but they also know they have a lot more going for them 2. An one more thing some of the parents make their kids do it. when it not fun for the kids it time to stop when u make it work instead of fun.

That is ridiculous, she looks 16. Children should not be forece to look like this.
