Merry Christmas……

December 24th, 2009 - 7:07 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Merry Christmas Lovers: We just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, that is if you celebrate Christmas. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, then Happy Holidays to you.

This is a picture I took of myself before I went out yet again today to buy a few more presents. I donned my Santa hat with my rhinestone basset hound pin and off Grandma and I went in search of the perfect dog toys for Romeo and Enzo!

Our sleigh landed at Walgreens and low and behold we found a 24” purple wiener dog for Romeo and a pink pig for Enzo. There we were in a line of 20 or more folks, proudly clutching our phenomenal finds! OK, the line was long but I had my Santa hat on and my purple wiener dog. I was not going to let this little ole line stress me out!

Then, the cashier, dressed as Mrs. Claus, picks up her microphone. OK – you have to read this with the thickest KY accent you can muster.

“Attention stock boey. I need a price on a white teddy bear thats gotta black hat on its head holdin a candy cane and a wearin a t-shirt that says grandma got hit by a reindeer.”

Then the person buying it pushed a button and the thing started singing that song. Mrs. Claus pushed the microphone button and said,

“It also sings this song”. And she held the bear up to the microphone.

Have you ever been in a crowded store when everyone broke out laughing so hard some were crying?
OK it was me crying. It was so funny and the moment was so KY perfect.

More Merry Christmas and Grandma getting run over by reindeer later.
