PUPDATE – I JUST FOUND ANOTHER PHOTO OF ANDY BRAZZLE ON FACEBOOK!
Howllo fellow Basset Hound and new HoPper lovers….
Please to meet you Andy! Our Andy was in a kill shelter in Norfolk VA. I guess he was dumped by his family. I really don’t know why he was there. Another Basset Hound rescue wanted to save him but they could not find a foster home. Enter Marilyn…….
So, Basset C.A.R.E. pulled him and their transport coordinator who is also a psychic pet communicator said that the hound told him his name is Andy. Is that too cool? I wonder what else he said?
So, this morning we have a pupdate from Dear Marilyn……..
“This is the only pic I’ve snapped of him so far. He’s hiding under the coffee table after a very trying day – a 4-hour road trip from Norfolk, getting dumped in a houseful of crazy dogs, and a vet visit already. He seemed kind of depressed and painful in his legs so I called my vet and was able to get him right in. He’s got horrible, horrible teeth (why do they always come that way?), bad infections in eyes and ears and has pain in his back and hips. His shoulders don’t look too steady, either. I got him set up for a dental and x-rays on Monday, and he’ll start on Rimadyl & antibiotics today.
He’s a sweet old boy. Very quiet, knows to go to the door for potty and came back through the doggie door by himself, so maybe he’s had one before.”
Poor old guy. He will soon feel right at home with all the other old men and women of HOP. I sure wish I could win the lottery. it would be so cool.

Andy, you got the Christmas miracle….you are now safe and sound at the HOP. Marilyn will fix you up and soon you will be enjoying all the fun fill days that you deserve in your golden years.

Aww! He is so sweet! I live in the next town over from Norfolk..I didn’t realize we had a basset rescue in our area..I thought BROOD was the one for VA. Poor sweet boy!
Oh God Bless you Marilyn. Andy you are so lucky to have HOP to go to. They do such wonderful things and have all kinds of beds and places to hide. Once again you see the miracles in this world and see happy endings.
That is one sad face. Hang in there buddy … Marilyn is getting you everything you need. You have received the best Christmas present by ending up in Marilyn’s care at HOP. Good job managing the doggy door!
Poor boy! His eyes look awful. I’m sure he’s miserable with his eyes, ears and teeth all hurting him. Could you imagine? The family probably couldn’t afford to take care of him. But now he’s in heaven! As he feels better I’m sure you’ll see a totally different dog come out. Good luck Andy! And you are an angel Marilyn.
