Howl many times a day does Chaps hear the words, “Good Boy”?
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Good Boy Lovers…..This morning I was sprucing up my bedroom, getting ready for Cindy, my sister from Atlanta. Normally, when I am in this room (Julian’s room) cleaning it up, it means that Julian is coming over. So, Chaps is laying by the door watching every move I make. Every time I step over him I say, “Good Boy”. I woke up this morning saying, “Good Boy”. It is only 9:00am KY time and I think I have said “Good Boy” about 100 times.
This is a picture I took of Mr. Good Boy about 10 minutes ago. He takes up a fair portion of the hall. But who cares? He is such a Good Boy!
More loving our Good Boy later……Cat, Chaps and Emma
I love the way Bassets can make themselves comfortable everywhere.
Boy I know how much fun it can be too, to carry things over such a “Good Boy” while laying in the center or should I say the whole doorway. He does look like he is comfy.
He gets the “good boy” for just sitting around doing nothing? Wow. You sure are generous on how you use that! I tell Rugs and Ozzie they’re good boys all the time. Cuz they are. I tell Jethro he’s a good boy when Harriet looks at him or walks within 5 feet of him and he doesn’t attack her. Harriet is my “bad girl” tho. But I just love her to death!
Cindy – you are so funny. He gets a good boy for just looking at me. OMG – I am overwhelmed with both Chaps and Emma’s cuteness today.
Cat
Bailey has the same pose in front of the kitchen doorway. She has the best of both worlds there–still gets to keep her basset buns toasty from the heat of the woodstove and able to jump at any food that hits the floor. Why do they have to make countertops so high???
My Bassets often lay side by side in our hallway and often they are both lying on their backs and look so comical!!!
