Possibly the best video on the internet!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and best videos on the internet lovers. OK, OK, I know it might be a stretch but I think it is definitely in the top ten.
Many of my readers may know about the very famous basset hound named Paul Newman. He was named Paul Newman for his shockingly blue eyes.
Paul Newman was a rescue and I can’t remember the whole story, but I know he has a great home. You have to click the link and watch the video, you must!
A PERFORMANCE BY THE FAMOUS PAUL NEWMAN!
I am sure you will play it a few times!
Several years ago I received these picture of Paul from a friend about another one of his antics! This picture was not in anyway staged! Howl did he do that?
I know Paul Newman came from Suzanne Fitch’s rescue, Mid Atlantic but I just cannot remember all of the fun details. If anyone can add more please put it in the comment section.
I am in love with Paul Newman. Madly in love……
Who could not be? Bravo, Bravo!!!!!!
More about Paul Newman later……..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Ha! This video just kills me and my husband–we have a Basset named Copper who has one piercing blue eye the way Paul Newman does, the other is standard brown. He likes to get up on tables, too, we often find him on the table on the back deck. Really enjoyed it, keep up the AMAZING work saving these precious babies!
Bailey is jealous. He is on the phone right now seeing if he can order blue contact lens!
This is the BEST thing I have seen in a long time!!! What a beautiful dog!!!!!!! Thank so much for sharing Ms. Cat:)
Outstanding !
That was so kewl. Thanks Cat,
This is the best Paul Newman is beautiful
i think a pre-requistite of being rescued by suzanne is that you must be able to leap tall buildings and/or furniture. i have found buster asleep on the dining room table many times..and you don’t want to know how many tables and counters he has lept on top of!
i know suzaane has told me she once set up a rescue event with a photo session with candid shots with the elusive paul newman (!)..all in good fun and for rescue.
Bravo, Encore, We want more 🙂 I love him, those eyes see right to the heart.
He is so talented. I think he could be a really big star. Maybe close to the level of Chaps and Emma! LOL!!!!!!!
I AM NEWMAN’S #1 FAN AND CELEBRITY STALKER…LOL. I can’t remember all his details but I know that he is in a wonderful home with a mom who has the patience to train around his disabilities. He is a shockingly intelligent basset and needs to be learning new tricks all the time or he will be very destructive. (Stalker means, she’s afraid to bring him to DC because she knows I will dognap him!!!!!!) I LOVE NEWMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too cute! All that white reminds me of my Ozzie. He doesn’t have blue eyes but his Mommy does!
holy liberacci batman!!watched this video with my husband and we were floored!i asked suzanne about her dog not too long ago and she never mentioned how multi talented he is.our dog rupert can sneak under a blanket an lay so flat you could almost miss him.we think he is pretty wiley.kudos suzanne!
Very good commercial!!! Better than most I’ve seen on the internet (We don’t have cable or sattelite TV) Paul, YOU ARE A STAR!!!!!! To the person who wrote it, very clever!! Thanks Cat for sharing!
Six thumbs and eight paws up for Paul Newman at our house!! Simply amazing!!
I am going backward in the posts, so have already listened to Layla’s performance. Now I hear Paul Newman. I can envision a night at Carnegie Hall with performances by talented Basset Hound musicians and singers!
Bravo Paul Newman, you are definitely ready for Carnegie Hall. Your performance moved me deeply, you have great emotion.
I also think you have to be one of the most handsome males I have ever seen.
This just in from Paul Newman’s Mommy…..
“Dear Cat,
I was so glad you liked the video! The comments from people were just amazing! I especially loved”those eyes see right to the heart”. That’s so very true about PN. I can never walk him without being stopped many, many times and he loves every minute of it!

Cat,
Do you have an email address for Karen, PN & Paul Newman, I would love to contact her.
Also, do you have an email address for Lena. I would like to find out how she is doing and sending Lena & Paul Newman some treats.
Maureen –
I do not have an address for PN but I can find it out. I don’t have one for Lena either. I will work on that for you. That is very sweet!
Cat
Fan mail for Paul Newman can be sent c/o Mid-Atlantic Basset Hound Rescue, 57 Mien Hill Road, Washington, NJ 07882.
PN was picked up in Jersey City where he was found tied to a pole in a parking garage. The JAC shelter called me to see if our rescue wanted to take in a white basset…. with blue eyes. I told them to send a photo since I didn’t believe they actually had a white basset with blue eyes. So the story of PN begins.
He came to live with me for a while until I agreed to share him with Karen Wells, extraordinary dog trainer and lover of all things basset. She acknowledged his incredible intelligence and talents, enabling us to see just how wonderful this furboy actually can be. He continues to amaze us each and every day.
p.s. That’s Mine Hill Road, sorry.
