Three generations of basset hound sleepers……

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Three Generations of Basset Hound Sleeper Lovers! I had to LOL this morning when I opened this e-mail. It is of Colby Chaps showing that he is just as good at sleeping as his Daddy and Grand Daddy! hehehehe
So, if you are keeping up since last night you have seen Magnum sleeping, then today Chaps sleeping and now Colby Chaps sleeping. We call this picture, 2 beds are better than 1!

Have you guys ever noticed that? An odor that hounds emit sometimes while sleeping? I call it the sleep stink.

I know this is going to sound very weird and you probably won’t believe me but Harriet’s sleep stink smells like newborn pups. I often wonder if her having so many puppies did this. In fact, she’s had so many puppies that when she got out of our back yard one day, just recently, this lady next door called me to tell me she was out and she said, “One of your dogs is out, the one that just recently had puppies”. Ha! She hasn’t had puppies since 2008! She’s so stretched out that her boobs almost drag the ground. They did drag the ground when I got her and now that I look back she had probably just whelped her last litter because she did shrink up some. My poor baby girl. There’s no telling how many pups she had.
When the boys are sleeping I love to go over to them and inhale deeply and partake of that lovely “houndie” aroma! When Philip does it he will ask me if I “want a hit”!;)
