Release the hounds…….
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and releasing the hounds first lovers…..
Tonight is the first night of the Westminster Kennel Club dog show. The super bowl and world serious of all shows! hehehehe
It will air live tonight on the USA network at 8:00pm, (I think). Their website is confusing about another channel and time but I think I am right. Check your local listings.
The Bassets showed earlier today and here are the results. This will not spoil anything because of course they do not show the individual breeds. The basset hound winner will go on to participate in the hound group, which by the way will be the first group up tonight! That is great because then I can turn over to figure skating at the Olympics.
OK – the results……

A New York City photographer captured this photo today for the AP and NBC.
Basset hounds Gladiator, left, and his cousin Lola, touch noses in the lobby of the Pennsylvania Hotel, Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, in New York. The 134th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show will take place Feb. 15 and 16 at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The dogs, both from Argentina, are scheduled to compete in the show.

Note from Cat – I think they were smelling each others breath to see if one got a treat without the other one getting a treat. hehehe
More about blue ribbons later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Look at that floor beneath those hounds feet? Isn’t that gorgeous? What a great Valentine’s shot! I sure wish they would use “female” instead of the B word when describing the sex. I mean, Harriet is the B word but I’m sure they haven’t ALL earned that title.
I refuse to use the B word. Why can’t these breeders get over that word? Are any breeders out there that can answer that for us?
I know Cindy – what a perfect Valentines day photo!
that is one beautiful looking female basset hound..man….she took my breath away…
wow! she is awesome
and then those two smooshing…how cute! you know someone’s gonna make some $$$ off of that pix! (if they don’t they should!)
I think this pose would make a perfect Valentine.
