Who remembers this song? A bit before my time, timeless none the less….
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and songs that define periods of our life lovers….
Oh dear me, I have so many of them. My older sister had a boy friend who worshiped music. His passion started me on a life time discovery of love. Thank you Fernando!
Anyway, the kids and I were all ready to start our Spring time walking this morning. I got up and turned on the weather to just catch these words…
“And the rain will continue all weekend.” Ugh…..
So, plan B, look for this song on YouTube.
If you lived anywhere near Patterson Hall at UK in 1975 the music was courtesy of me. My stereo system was the blog of it’s time.
(We took Nin’s son Henry to UK last week for a college tour)
I can’t tell ya what classes I took that year but I can sure give you a play list! Back then a Tweeter had nothing to do with 140 characters and a 4 legged woofer was years off.
Ah, the 70s.
More tweeter and woofers later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
I remember that song!! Also I remember her song, “I’ve got a brand new pair of rollerskates”! Does anyone else remember that one???
Ahhhh, the 70’s. Yes. I had a complete pioneer system with OMEGA speakers, cassette deck, turn table and reciever in my bedroom. Then Jensen speakers and a pioneer receiver with cassette in my brand new 79 camaro. I was only 8 during Woodstock and my parents thought hippies were the devil so I was very sheltered. Didn’t learn about Woodstock until much later in life. But I LOVE all the 70’s songs. They just haven’t been able to top them yet. One of my missions when I retire is to get an ipod and fill it up with all the old songs I always enjoyed. Then I’m taking them traveling and we can listen to them all the time! Thanks for the memories Cat.
I remember this quite well along with my frosty pink lipstick, tye dyed t-shirts, palazoo pants, extra-wide bell bottom jeans and the quote “By the time we get to Woodstock-we’ll be 1/2 million strong!”
I remember the 70’s – 8 track tapes, smoking in the office, hot pants, the start of SNL, Channel Z…
