Happy Birthday Jethro Bodean, BHT resident! 9 years old!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and where does the time go lovers? It seems like yesterday to his Mommy and Daddy (Cindy and Ron) that their baby was just a pup stepping on his long record breaking ear!
Then seeing your baby looking at you like this! Just a youngster. So little and bright!
Now, it is 9 years later. A big beautiful boy just as bright but a bit larger and somewhat more gray!
Mommy Cindy writes…….
I need to make sure that I have all the ingredients for some pup cakes. I’ve attached a picture of him that I took last week. He’s not doing too bad for 9. His eyebrows are gray and his face has some gray in it but I still think he’s a very handsome fella. Just for fun I’ve attached his pedigree. He’s the only one that has a pedigree and he’ll probably be the last since we’re now rescuing. Notice on his pedigree that his grandfather and great grandfather are champions. I thought that was pretty cool.

Oh Cindy your Jethro is a big part of our town and I am thrilled to let everyone know of his big day. That picture of himz stepping on his ear is one of my favorite ever! Just priceless. You should get it blown up poster size!
Also, while I am gushing over this photo I would like to remind everyone that Jethro holds the record in basset hound town for the longest ears! Now you can see even as a young pup he was gunnin’ for that title!

Maybe his ears are so long because he stretched them out by stepping on them? Ha! For supper tonite everybody is getting beef veggie soup mixed with their kibble and I have some frozen frosty paws and I’m making some pup cakes! We’re going to have a party today for Jethro’s birthday. Fun, fun!
He has the most beautiful puppy face:) He has grown into a very handsome fellow. Happy Birthday Jethro:):)
I am looking forward to hopefully meeting Jethro and company in about a month! Such a distinguished gentleman!

You WILL meet Jethro and company. Just let me know where your going to be and when. Houston is too close to turn down this meet. There are a few dog parks around and I’m sure we can set up a place to meet ya. We can’t wait!
Let’s not forget that Jethro was on the cover of GQ and won the title of BadAss of the year.
