Have you seen 2012?
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and odd movie lovers! Have you guys seen this movie? I was kind of looking forward to the Pay for View thing. Emma and I were all tucked in. Chaps was in the main bed area.
I was so disappointed. I could have done a better screen play. The special effects were great but the plot was horrible. If I were the writer I would have built up the end. It was pretty cool when the helicopters were bringing in the big animals to the arc. That lasted about 2 seconds. Then you had the the main people diving in the water for the rest of the movie. Howl lame. I already saw Titanic!!!!!!!
Can you say fast forward?

P.S. the best part of that movie was the sweet pink pattie of our Emma!

Harriet’s belly and legs get pink like that too. Is that cuz of her allergies? Maybe Harriet has allergies too. It doesn’t bother her tho so maybe that’s normal.
Haven’t seen 2012 but heard it was about the end of the world. I’m sorry but I just don’t believe anybody that tries to predict the end of the world. I’m not even interested in seeing it so I’m glad I’m not missing anything.
Oh Emma suffers horribly. Interestingly, we had taken a walk that day (spring roll) and I forgot to wipe her down when we got home. The next day she was beet red. I feel so sorry for our girl. I sure learned my lesson.

Yeah, it was really bad, and long too!
So Cat, is there something I can use around the house that will help her redness? I have some Gold Bond medicated body powder. Or maybe baking soda mixed with something? I mean, she doesn’t seem like it bothers her but I’d like to put something on it and see if it helps.
I saw it . I loved it. I bought it! I thought the part where the kid asks “Why do they have anchors?” was so cool. I thought they were going up in space too until then!. The only thing I would of changed was when they were air lifting the animals up to the arc there would of been two basset hounds (complete with close ups) maybe flapping their ears for effect! But that’s just me………
Cindy, my Mom and I use a touch of baking soda and a warm rag and just wipe her down. Today she had a light yellow film come off of her. Probably some kind of element she is allergic too on the outside.
She seems better today.

Debbie – I just wish they would have played up that element more. I did love the special effects. I just wished they would have done more with it. I would have loved to see more of the new world. I think they wasted way too much time with that ramp not closing.
I so wish I could tell Hollywood howl to do it the way I want it done! LOL!

We once rescued a Basset who used to get pink underneath sometimes and we bathed him in Malaseb once a week, but found that cheap (90p a bottle) Calamine lotion was as good as anything and it had a cooling effect like it does for sunburn… try it if your dog gets pinky and warm!
Friends of mine said the same thing. I’m really not interested in seeing this movie.
I LOVE disaster movies so I had to buy it when I saw it in Walmart for $15. It was OK, I liked it but not as good as I was expecting or hoping for.
Marilyn, I love disaster movies also. I also love the doomsday stuff on the History Channel.
Then I tell my Mom about it the next day and freak her out! Poor Grandma!

The yellow film you wiped off Emma was pollen. Probably something she is allergic to.
Here in North TX right now, if you park your car
anywhere overnight, it is covered in yellow pollen by morning. Spring is the season for everything to be blooming.
