A hound running towards you like he has not seen you in years?

Oh yes, mine all celebrate when I get home. Sometimes they celebrate when I come back in from getting the newspaper in the front yard!

I love the basset’s full body wag….right down to the tip of their tail!
Theres nothing better than coming home and hearing the hounds bark and get those sloppy kisses. Makes being gone worth it:)

Sophie always stuffs as many of her toys as possible into her mouth and brings them to me – covered in basset slobber of course! She does the whole-body-wag better than any basset I have ever known.
Saturday I was in the laundry room. I think the girls thought I went outside because they started howling and baying. I went into the living room to watch them, they were looking out the window just a baying. When the serenade was over I asked them if they were finished.
“Oh my gosh–mom is back!!!! Wag Wag Wag–Lick Lick Lick!!!!!”
I know Slinky like to know where I’m at, at all times, and she usually is excited to see me. On occassion if she is comfortable laying front of the window she could care less and doesn’t move.
