Oh dear me…Chaps tinkles on my rare rug for my birthday!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and birthday gift lovers…..
OK, I pondered for a moment if I should tell on Chaps and then decided that I should keep the residents up to date.
Chaps was upset today when we got a few claps of thunder. I was not going to give him his Thunder pill because I could tell there was not a storm coming. But, Chaps had no idea so he went into my bedroom and tinkled on a very treasured and rare rug I purchased in Turkey.
I used to work for General Electric Aircraft Engines and my business was in Turkey. Oh, the shopping was off the charts! Turkish rugs and crystal chandeliers! Stuff I just love!
Interestingly, I researched Turkish rugs prior to buying this one. It is a Hereke Rug.
I also remember asking the people I bought it from howl to clean it. They said, “Wash it like a dog.” LOL
A treasured item now hanging on my shower rod, washed like a dog! LOL!
More wishing I could have washed my dogs, not my rug! Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma..

Sorry to hear about the rug. Thank Dog you can clean it and save it. Mine would do that to something I could not save.

Thanks Wanda. We have been up since the crack of dawn. Had a tornado warning at midnight and now Chaps is throwing up. I can’t catch a break.
Does he normally do this as one of his reactions to storms? I’m thinking that he’s rebelling against the intruding visit by the cousins.

Right now he is settled down for a nap but still kind of restless. I can hear his stomach noises.
Grandma and I had some plans today for a mini trip with the kids but now that’s off…..

The Mayor would never stoop so low as to go on a tinkle pad. Turkish rugs only!
