Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Emma Lovers….Good Dog, who is not one of those? Well, I was outside adding acid water to my hydrangea (so it will turn blueish) and of course Emma followed me out. She has a favorite spot. Notice howl pink the patty is? Grandma was fearful it might get burnt so we only let her stay in her favorite spot for about 10 minutes.
Grandma said she looked like a piece of spaghetti! LOL!
She is probably dreaming of some food delight!

I love her patty and her SNOOTER (what we call our bassets’ nose/mouth/jowles area)! Lulu’s patty gets sunburned too, then she doesn’t really want her patty pet anymore!

I still think we should have an “Emma’s Patty Contest” Something like: Name something as soft or softer than Emma’s patty.
I think Emma is dreaming, “if only I had a treat, my favorite toy, and my blankie; and, just 10 minutes more please”.
Ok, I’m not sure how I know this so maybe it’s not true…but, can’t you put human sun screen on dogs? If so maybe Emma could stay out longer.

Cindy, Emma would lick it off and probably get sick. So, I can’t put anything like that on her. Maybe I can invent a patty sun protector!!!!

Wow= I was thinking the same thing, Cindy. It is too bad there isn;t something Emma can use so she enjoy the sun longer. She is a real bathing beauty.

What about a patty parasol? One that would only shadow the patty area, thus letting Emma sun a little longer.
Last year I grew a small type of squash that some people called Patty pans! I wonder if dogs could eat these for a special Patty treat?

The Patty report for the day is a peppermint patty. It is very cool as she has been inside in the AC all day. It is actually cool to the touch! Pat, pat, pat! hehehe
