Guess who has a new name? Give up? TJ is now known as Stanley!
Howllo fellow Basset Hound and new Stanley Lovers! Call him Randy, call him TJ, Call him Stanley, just don’t call him late for dinner! Suzanne of Mid-Atlantic heard from TJ’s new family today and the big news is that they changed his name to Stanley. LOL
Here is the e-mail….
Dear Suzanne and Michelle,
Just a quick update to let you know that we’ve changed TJ’s name to Stanley. He seems to answer to it as well as TJ frankly!
He has been quite good so far. He is well socialized and gentle. He was amazing riding home in the car with Harvey in the 3 hour ride.
He’s making a good adjustment and is eating well.
I think he’s extremely smart too. Very bassety; curious and clever.
It looks so far like it will be a good fit.
Off for Stan’s vet appt.

I have Stanley’s new e-mail and I will e-mailing his Mommy soon to see if she will stay in touch. Those were such good pictures! Stanley’s new bro is very handsome as well!

Well, Stanley is a very cute name. I think it fits him fine. TJ did too but Stanley works. His home and back yard looks very nice! I’m surprised that we got pics this fast. Cool! His brother is very handsome, yes. I hope we can periodically get pics of Stanley and keep up with how he’s doing but I also understand that some adopters just want to cut that cord. And that’s ok too. Hopefully we’ll at least be able to get a x-mas card or something from him.

I have to agree the name Stanley suits him. I think he knows he’s in a loving caring home, so he is feeling happy and comfortable.
I was TJ’s foster mom (aka Stanley now)and I would like to thank all of you for helping rescue TJ/Stanley…With Cat reacting so quickly to my plea for help and by her contacting Suzanne, and Suzannne accepting Stanly immediately with “open arms” and with funds readily available, we were able to get TJ out of the shelter and into my home in just a few days…so hopefully he never went into what I refer to as “shelter shock.” I pray he will love Long Island and his new family, but I will always think of him as “mine.”….(smile)
