The Mayor makes a friend…..
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Friend Lovers……
Yesterday I was in the kitchen and I heard the Mayor howl. I recognized the type of howl which means he has seen something interesting. So, I go to the sliding glass door and take a look with him.
What is it Mayor?
Then the Mayor howls again and I see his new friend!
Ahhhhhh………This Butterfly stayed in Basset Hound Town for about an hour. Chaps never left the window. He was fascinated.
I think the Butterfly liked him as well. This morning when Chaps and Emma were out back the new friend flew back in to the exact same spot. It was really something.
Then, like a bolt Chaps came running back to the sliding glass door. But this time he did not howl. It was strange like he was greeting an old friend.
I hope we see Butterboy again. We named him Butterboy.
More Butterboy sightings later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
That is a lesson we can learn, take time to appreciate, what’s right outside your door. I had a beautiful butterfly sighting about a week ago. My one and only rose bush had two almost perfect blooms. It is planted in back of these fuzzy purple spikey flowers that I don’t know the name of. Right as I turned the corner, a Monarch butterfly lighted on one of the roses. It was so pretty, and just sat ther gently moving it’s wings. So striking against the red roses and the purple fuzzy spikey flowers!
I have a very large white butterfly bush in our side yard and it seems that almost everytime I am over there I see at least one yellow butterfly. There are always tons of other colors but the yellow ones are special. It seems that this must be a good year for us to enjoy lots of butterflies. I hope your special one keeps on coming to visit Chaps. I will let you know if I see that one in our yard!
Thank you Aunt Judy! I lubs you! Mayor Chaps! and butterboy lovers! heheheh
Thank you Debbie, that was beautiful! Slurp, Mayor Chaps!
Chaps and Emma appreciate beauty in every way. They both know howl important it is to stop and smell the roses.
