Wow, I had a senior moment today and it involved our Emmers!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and not loving senior moment lovers…..
This morning as I was feeding the kids I noticed that I was emergently low on Emmers special allergy food. I buy her food at her vet office so I had to remember to call and make sure they had some for me. If they didn’t have any in stock I can go to a few other vets to find it but most importantly I have to remember to call around. So, I grab a pen and make a note.
(humm…..someone needs a little moisturizer, maybe Oil of Old Age…..)
So, I got the kids fed and all the other morning stuff and go back to my office. OK, Emma’s food. I better make a phone call but before I do that I better go down to the basement to see if I have an extra bag. All of this is going through my head as I am looking out the window just in time to see a squirrel walking across the back fence with one of our tomatoes in his mouth. OK, dousing the tomatoes with our hot pepper sauce takes top priority. I will douse the tomato plant and then check for Emma’s food.
OK – Tomato plant is now red with hot sauce – Check
There is not an extra back of food for Emma – Check
Back upstairs and the kids go wild thinking they should get a treat. So, I am thinking what was I doing? What do I need to do next? All of this is going through my head as I am giving Emma her treat….
I had to laugh. FOOD! Call vet. Check!
More laughing at myself later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Well? Did the vet have some food? Poor Emmers! I have senior moments too. I hate it when I get up and briskly walk in to another room and stand there, look around, then wonder what I was going in there for!
Yes, I forgot to mention that! hehehe
What a busy morning, and what a sneaky thieving squirrel.
Don’t you hate it when you walk into a room and forget why you went in there?
Oil of old age…. HOW FUNNY! I’m always forgetting stuff. Thank goodness I have all day to remember everything before my husband gets home!!!
