Poor little girl is out of surgery but is having a hard time waking up. Let’s all get some drool production going for a speedy recovery.

Judy, you must keep us informed, OK? I know you are beside yourself with worry.

Here are Judy’s Grandkids and her hounds at the Lily and Chloe bench.

Hey Judy, the Doyle hounds have an abundance of drool headed your way and we know your address!

Jethro has a hard time waking up too. They always keep him overnite. Is Abby’s tumor going to be tested for cancer? If so we’ve got some no cancer drool coming too!

Maureen, you can see it on her side in the first picture. It is kind of hard to see but it is huge, like about the size of a golf ball.

Judy – Nell (our Sussex Spaniel) is sending special healing drool Abby’s way. She had a huge tumor removed from the side of her head a couple of years ago, and all turned out well. Some extra basset drool coming from Sophie as well. Glad to hear Abby will be coming home today.

This just in from Judy – Abby’s Mommy….

Update – Our Abby is HOME and seems to be doing well. She has about a 5 inch incision on her side and of course no fur! I took pictures and will send them after kids go home and dinner is over. He did send it for testing and I can call about that next week. Bumper has not left her side as you will see in the pictures tonight. Thanks for all the drool today – bassethoundtown residents are the best friends to have in a time of need. Judy

Thanks so much for all the concern for my girl Abby. I was a wreck worrying about her today. She is doing well and Bumper is so very happy to have her home. The tumor was golf ball size and would probably have burst at some point so it was best for all to have it removed now. I really do have the best friends in bassethoundtown and thank you all for the drool sent to Abby today. I hope she has a speedy recovery and can be back outside playing with the kids again soon. She has to be careful for 2 weeks. Thanks again, Judy

My 3rd hound Buford had to have this surgery in his lifetime. The lump was much larger, than your Abby’s ( it grew within a few days) and was what the vet called a hair folicle cyst. The incision and waking up from being put out is scary, but I guess it is common with bassets. It all turned out well and he was with us for 9 years. He was a very tender hearted gentle hound. Sending get well wishes , for your sweet houndette, hope she is feeling better soon
