Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and making your day lovers! Today Grandma and I made plans to go to AAA to pick up some major travel stuff. OMD – I am sure many of you know that if you are a member of AAA you can go in and get books, maps, and advise about any trip you are taking. We left with 6 books and about 12 maps regarding VA and the Blue Ridge Parkway. As we were talking to the travel expert I heard a little girl, outside of the building screaming…”It’s the basset lady, the basset lady, the basset lady!”

The little girl and her Mom saw the Basset Hauling Vehicle – Howl can you miss it?

The little girl was adorable. She had on a purple bathing suit complete with a purple cast! Turns out she fell off the monkey bars. Also, turns out Chaps and I had done a Lily book reading at her school!

Oh the fame…….

More loving being called the Basset Lady later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

i got stopped at tar-jay once by a little girl from brad’s mom’s day care center after i did one of the program’s there while on line…by this little girl yanking on my shorts…asking if buster was in the van & if he would sing to me if she asked!

it’s too funny when that happens right! this girls father was like..”who are you & why is my 3 yr old yanking on your clothing?????”

you are right..the price of fame!

Mary – it’s a fancy pronunciation of “Target”.

Cat – I can’t think of any higher honor than being known as the “basset lady”.

That is too cute! I agree with Kerry. A very high honor. But not as high as being the mayor of Basset Hound Town. Chaps has you beat!

That’s true Cindy … I should have clarified, that it is the highest honor that could be bestowed on a mere human.

I actually felt bad that I did not have the Mayor with me. This little purple girl deserved his presence! Everyone does! He is the MAYOR!

    YES!

Howl can anyone say there’s a downside to fame and celebrity. I bet the Mayor doesn’t think so.
