I am a tattle tail! I told on the Mayor!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and not tattle tail lovers….
Today the weather was so great that the kids were outside a lot. I think that dog door got a run for it’s money today!
No humidity and no vial beating oppressive sun shine. So, being the helicopter Mom I am I was checking on the kids constantly.
I have to be honest, one of the reasons I check so much is because Chaps likes to feast on Grandma’s green onions.
This is Grandma planting her onions earlier this summer….
Chaps has been obsessed with green onions ever since!
So, I decided to tattle on Chaps and tell Grandma that her Grand dog was back at it and she should go ahead and harvest them RIGHT NOW!
I went out front because I heard her watering our plants and what do I see in my front yard?
Abby Alessandro, of Judy, Bumper and Abby. Remember, she just had a large tumor removed from her side? Well Abby was coming back from the vet because she had her stitches removed. The tumor was benign BTW….Thank Dog!
I cannot tell you howl happy I was to look out of my front window and see this precious little girl enjoying my front yard. Ahhhhh, life is good! I was kissing, and kissing that chop! What a great way to take a break from work.
But before all of the kissing I had to tell on Chaps. We all knew he was not noshing on the onions at that point because he was in his worry bed, at the front window, crying and pawing at the window….”Mommy, oh Mommy why are you kissing that strange hound?”
Not only did he endure his Mommy kissing a little girl hound but he got told on! Grandma dashed to back and pulled her coveted crop!
All in all a pretty good haul.
More pretty girls and pretty onions later…Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
Cat – it was so great to see you today – I was so excited that Abby’s biopsy was good news that I had to tell someone and grandma was outside. I also got a full view of the pool – YIKES !! We will be back another day to visit – hope we did not disrupt Chaps day too much.
I had so much fun as well. I know, that pool is my summer cross to bare. You never disrupt us. We love our Judy, Abby and Bumper. Next time bring Bumper. Chaps might just do himself in! hehehe
HOwl Cool! Abby looks so good and what great news! I’m happy for you Judy. You needed this good news.
And by the way, Grandma’s onions look great! I also see a few maters in the background. Are those from your plant? How many have you gotten off of that plant? Or that the animals didn’t steal! My plants got completely burned up by the heat. I got maybe 5 or 6 small tomatoes earlier in the year. Nobody down here got tomatoes unless they planted real early but they didn’t last long. I was very disappointed.
Yes Cindy those are our tomatoes in the background. The hot sauce absolutely worked. We have about 25 or more on the plant right now. Very small, but plentiful. It is like a second crop is coming on. The celebrity was the only plant that flourished. The other ones never got started. I would have given up all together if you had not suggested the Celebrity. They taste really good! Wish you lived closer so we could have lunch…..
Cat
Cat,
How on untrustworthy or you, and remember NO ONE likes a squealer! Aren’t these onions part of Basset Hound Town? I am sure they are! So the Mayor is allowed to enjoy the fruits or onions of Basset Hound Town residents; although, I wouldn’t want our Mayor to become ill from indulging.
Cat, you may have to be demoted due to your shameful behavior.
That’s wonderful news about Abby, she looks quite healthy and beautiful.
Also, you may want to plant some yellow tomatoes they are less acidic.
