I am your Mayor, Chaps Rudert…..

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Mayor Lovers…

Today I was sitting at the dining room table going through some bills. Of course I had my camera near by. Chaps was laying in his office, the kitchen. I was staring at him, thinking howl handsome he was as he slept. Such a grand, gentle hound. He just makes me smile.

Then he looked up as if he felt my stare.

Or maybe he felt my sigh……Just another moment in time. A moment of love. Or as my Dad would have said, a moment of hunger! LOL

More moments later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

Oh, Chappers is so handsome. I know you are worried about him getting older. I can read between the lines of your posts.

You will like this – this afternoon I was taking Bailey for his afternoon walk when he stopped to take care of some personal business. While he was concentrating on getting his job done, a big white and blue butterfly landed right on the point of his head. Naturally, he finished his job before shaking off the butterfly. I was soo mad that I didn’t have a camera, or at least another person around to see it too. Isn’t that strange?

I know how you feel Cat. I find myself giving Rugs a lot of attention lately and I’ll stare at him while he’s sleeping. Just enjoying having him around.

Chaps knows he is photogenic, but he is not conceited about it at all.

the bond is so strong between our houndies that there doesn’t need to be the spoken word & they know when you are thinking of them.

that is what is so wonderful & special about dogs.
