Labor of love DAY! hey, hey!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and rescue lovers! Most folks are celebrating Labor Day on Monday, I am celebrating it today. To celebrate I participated in a Labor of Love for Mr. VooDoo the extremely delicious and needy senior gentle hound!
I picked up VooDoo at 8:15 this morning. Himz was all zippy with a spring in his step.
We hustled right out and loaded right up so we could be on time for our meet up with Kathy in Sidney, OH!
“Excuse me, who are you and where are you taking me?”
Don’t worry big guy, we will be at our meeting spot in about 2 hours! We pulled in and our 2nd leg, Kathy was waiting on us!
VooDoo is handed over to the bassetabulous Kathy who offered to pick VooDoo up in Sidney, OH and drive him back to her home town of Maumee, OH where VooDoo’s forever Mommy will be waiting.
Kathy offered to help drive and that could not have been more of a treat!
“Treat? Did someone say TREAT???”
“I like this LADY!” (Can ya tell?) hehehe, there is nothing like a smiling basset hound!
“No time to dilly dally around we must make tracks to my forever Mommy……”
Roger that good buddy!
Then Kathy e-mailed a few pics from her leg….
Howl cute is this couple?
Maumee, near Toledo, 111 miles to go! I can think of no better traveling companion than Mr. VooDoo!
“Hey, thanks Kathy for the lift, is my new Mommy here yet?”
Yes, she is sweetheart! Her name is Corey and she is going to drive you to her home in Parma, MI!
Snap, Snap, Snap smile for the camera. I am your new Mommy!
Let’s load up and meet your new family!
VooDoo, your dearly departed Daddy, Eddie would be thrilled to see you so happy and so well taken care of by many, many people who love you and want only the best for you in your golden years!
More labor of love days later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma
Oh, I’m crying. What a sweet boy and a lucky family to get him as their furbaby.
Thanks to you all for helping VooDoo.
Cat, You are a Hero and so are all who helped.
You are such a kind and wonderful woman, all the Basset world is very lucky to have you. Hugs Ken
Another happy ending/beginning! Too bad the federal government isn’t as organized as the residents of Basset Hound Town!
OM! That is so true. What is so extremely touching is howl we are such proper, prior planners. Reacting to a situation is always costly and time consuming.
Having a plan and some finances in order and you can start running the race as soon as the shot is fired.
I love us! hehehe
This is such a wonderful happy ending-beginning for VooDoo. I know there are many great days ahead for him and his new family. Thanks everyone!
Cat….our hero and angel once again!!!! That’s a big 10-4 good buddy!
Awwww, I had tears too. Then I read OM’s post and had to laugh!
There is no town like Basset Hound Town!
