Howl does Cadbury Chocolate, Cheese and basset hounds relate?
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and howl do these three things relate lovers……Well, yesterday was googling the words basset hounds Halloween. A few things came up but nothing too blog worthy except for this Wall Street Journal article tucked on about page 6 of my google search. In a nutshell, Kraft was in the process back in 2008 of taking over the British Cadbury Chocolate Company.
Cadbury Descendant Crusades Against Kraft’s Takeover Bid
Here is the best part……
“Ms. Loudon, an interior designer and Mr. Cadbury’s great-great granddaughter, is opposed to Kraft’s proposed acquisition on the basis of both style and substance. The legendary chocolatier should not, she says, wind up controlled by the maker of what she calls “plastic cheese.” And the company, she argues, is a piece of British history that should not follow a host of other brands into foreign ownership. “We’ve lost so many iconic brands in this country,” says Ms. Loudon in the sitting room of her 18th-century home, fire crackling and basset hound by her feet. “Let’s not lose another one and say, ‘What a shame.”
There was also this interesting picture. Is Ms. Loudon inside the dog bed with Wee Wee or what is this exactly?

Eventually the plastic cheese company won out and Great Britons lost the honor of Cadbury calling England home.
At least Wee Wee is livin’ large!
More odd finds on google later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
That’s so sad. I always thought that working at Cadbury could be one of the best jobs and the world. I can’t understand why they use a Bunny at Easter, a Basset could work the whole year around.
That picture looks photoshopped to me. Or however you say that. Ha!

I think a clucking Basset would work every bit as good as a clucking bunny!
