Well, Emma never ceases to amaze me. Get this, she can build an igloo! We all know she can make a mean nest, but an IGLOO?
Last night I thought it was kind of weird that Shimlette did not come to bed until about 2:00am. She always follows me to bed. Anyway, I never thought too much of it until I went back in the office this morning and saw this! I swear to DOG I did not touch a thing!
Can you believe howl she fashioned her new down comforter? It looks like an igloo!
Now I know why she didn’t follow me to bed!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Christmas/Holiday card lovers. A few days ago I asked for Basset Hound Town to be placed on your card list. I also asked for you to place one green stamp, aka a George in the card. I will match George another George up to 200 bucks and send the total to our very dear House of Puddles! YES!
Guess what? So far I have received about 15 cards or so! That is so totally cool! I have not opened them yet because I want to wait a few days or so!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and gas fireplace lovers! Well, Grandma and I are 2 of those!
As many of you know I own a 2 family and Grandma lives upstairs. We both have gas fireplaces but we have not used them in about 10 years.
We are so excited because I have decided to have the fireplace guy come over and put us back in business! I want to make sure everything is safe and secure. They don’t call me the safety woman for nothing. (OK, my nephew calls me that! hehehe)
Here is my fireplace pictured about 7 years ago. As you can see I was part of a Christmas card exchange on a basset hound forum.
We are keeping our paws crossed that a fire will be glowing in a few days!

Get this, I can see the back left hand side of my old childhood home from our current home. I think this is kind of cool!
I commissioned my BFF’s brother, Bill Benton, to water color my childhood home about a decade ago.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and snow day lovers….Well, the snow started last night and really did not amount to much but we called off school anyway!
I let the kids go outside and play! Yeah! Snow Day!
Howl ever, much like all kids they wanted back in very quickly! I don’t blame them. Emma sure has some very exposed and tender areas! Not to mention the Mayor!
So, we are all tucked in and will face the world tomorrow.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and facebook find lovers…..Wow, sometimes facebook can really suck me in. This time I was in Greece for a long time!
The other day this guy named Barney (from Greece) asked to be my friend! I replied,
“OF COURSE WE CAN BE FURENDS!”
Barney has his own website and OF COURSE I have spend a fair amount of time looking around. OMD! You must see the cute pictures of this boy. He is adorable!
So, as I am looking around a see a link to the kennel where Barney came from and I had to roam around Greece a bit longer. Why can’t I live near a heard of basset hounds? I had a dream last night that I was in a big pile of basset pups. It was nirvana.
