British Basset Hounds become millionaires;)
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and winning the lottery lovers!
A YORKSHIRE couple said the one million dollar lottery win would save their home!
Grandparents Derek and Sandra Streets faced losing the bungalow in which they had planned to spend the rest of their lives with their 2 basset hounds Lily and Harry and a King Charles Spaniel named Ozzie!
Quotations manager Derek had been forced to remortgage the two-bedroom property after the company he worked for went bust, owing him thousands in wages.
Now he and Sandra, who celebrate their ruby wedding anniversary this July, can afford to stay close to family and friends – and the local pub – in Scarborough, for good!
“We don’t want a mansion and do want to stay where we are. The win has meant we can stay there forever now.”
The hardworking couple, who have not had a holiday for five years, plan to use the win to get away.
A new car and a motorhome to tour the country with their three dogs, basset hounds Lily and Harry and King Charles spaniel Ozzie!

SOUNDS LIKE HEAVEN TO ME!
I wish I could interview them. Too bad there were no pictures of the hounds. Lily and Harry will be living like real princes and princesses now! hip, hip and cheerio mates! OK, so will the King Charles Spaniel Ozzie who already has a title!!! hehehe
More loving happy endings later….Cat, Chaps and Emma
P.S. I wish I had a local pub!
Great story! I love seeing someone who deserves and needs it win the lottery.
Love the name Ozzie! Ha!
What a wonderful thing to happed to such a deserving couple.
good for them! what a great story…
ah to dream…what i would do with a cool million….certainly buy a “little house on wheels” & something to tow it with & then pay off the bills & i would be off on more great adventures..
oh & if you are interested…the little house on wheels…”tumbleweed tiny house company”…the fencl model…it calls to me
Lois – I saw that company on Sunday Morning, the TV show. I love it! So cute! I want one too! We can be neighbors!
Cat
i have been looking at them for a while &am planning on going to a workshop in the city in october…they really call to me…the onlty draw back i see is that the dogs can’t get up the ladder to sleep in the loft…
That would be a draw back. I would probably use the loft for storage and sleep on the floor! hehehe
