I found a fun new blog! It’s called A BASSET HOUND IN CAPE TOWN
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and new blog lovers. I was surfing the net the other day. I decided to google basset hound town. I wanted to see what came up. LOL! It was kind of fun. Anyway, a few pages down I found this really cool new blog called:
Gotta love Google….
It’s about Charlie! A girl basset!
This is Charlie with her Dad. She got too tired to walk home and needed a lift!
Charlie’s Mom states….
“Three months ago, my partner of eight years, Jonathan, and I moved (along with our basset hound and cats) from Toronto, Canada to Cape Town, South Africa. We are here for a year (maybe longer as Jonathan completes his LLM at UCT.
I am a travel, food and beverage writer as well as a copy editor so I can work from pretty much anywhere. That is, I can work when I am not staring out the window at the beauty that surrounds us here. Or spying on the sunbirds and sugarbirds picking at the oranges I put out for them in my garden-my winter garden. Yes, winter here has just ended but greenery and nature abound! I won’t miss the Toronto winter.
We have fallen in love with Cape Town and this blog is basically to keep our friends and family abreast of our goings-on and to convince those not already planning to visit (you know who you areou dummies), to get the hell down here. It is stunning. And cheap. And there is lots of amazing wine. Cheap wine. And animals. Cool animals. And food. Oh God, the food. And penguins. And yet more wine”

Sandra has another blog called
I really enjoy this blog as well. Really, very fascinating.
I was wondering what other blogs my readers read? Would you please let us know in the comment section. I will add a few of the other blogs I read in comments as well. I am going to add Charlie’s blog to my blog roll. I love her. What a sweet hound.
More wondering about blogs later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma
I have been reading the HGTV blog lately. Today they had a picture of a house made with as much scrap metal as they could design into it. Very colorful and warm, and I like it when nothing is wasted and materials can be recycled. Take a peek at the dream home if you go up there, it is wonderful. Can you imagine our bassets running around in there? They would love all the windows and build ins.
What an adorable picture. Charlie is a cutie.
Charlie is adorable. I’ll have to take a look around their blogs. It’s great that they are blogging about their time in Cape Town. Wish I’d had that idea while we were in New Zealand with Scully! Then again, I barely knew what blogging was back then. LOL
This is a great blog to see something of South Africa. A beautiful place.
And Charlie even got to eat at a people restaurant! with the waiter feeding her! That is really dog friendly.
She does sound like a typical Basset Hound Diva. Very opinionated and into Adore Me Me Me! I love her.
