Be careful out there if you have snow on the roof!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Being Careful Lovers…

Well, when the back steps are iced over or slick I put a baby gate up so the hounds won’t slip or fall. So, today the sun came out and the steps are clear so I let the kids go down to the lower level. Emma did not care to venture down, being the cold natured girl she is.

So, Chaps went carefully down. He was enjoying himself sniffing around and I was cleaning my office when I heard an ice sheet slide off of my roof. My heart got stuck on my throat as I ran out the door. It missed Chaps by a few feet, Thank Dog. He took off running towards me and I just hugged him.

So, this is a message from your Mayor and his Mommy…

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!

Two or three years ago, Hannah and I were hit with a sheet of snow sliding off the overhang outside a kmart. We were very fortunate it was snow and not ice, but we were both pretty startled. kmart didn’t even care.

So glad the Mayor is ok.

OM – It is so scary. I cannot believe that KMart didn’t even care??????? What morons.

Now we are in line for an ice storm. I just listened to the weather and the word they used for Tuesday morning was, “treacherous”!!!!!!!

    TREACHEROUS! OMD!

    Cat,

I loooovvvvveeeeee this picture of the Mayor. He looks so concerned and “Mayor-ly”. He really is photogenic just like Emma.

Glad he wasn’t hurt by the falling snow. Not much problem of that down here in TX. But in Minnesota, where I grew up, that would happen alot. Icicles falling sometimes too!

How awful! I’ve never had to deal with ice and snow like that so I have never even thought of something like that happening. I’m sooooo glad the mayor is ok.

Oh! That must have been so scary for everyone. I know when Slinky goes to the bathroom outside, she sometimes slips all over, and I worry she will break a leg.
