The kids needed a drink of water!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and the kids needing a drink of water lovers….

Well, today was just downright glorious! The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and the leashes were calling us! So we harnessed up and took off!

One of the walks we take is pretty far for the kids and I asked Grandma if she thought we could make it since it was one of our first walks of the season! What the heck. Let’s go for it.

It is fun because at the end of the walk, before we turn around, we stop at a grand old Catholic Church to rest. There are lots of benches and a grotto. I normally go in and get the kids some water from the fountain. Today that area was closed.

As I opened the door it just looked so pretty that I decided to take the kids inside to get a few pictures.

The place was glowing with a pink hue.

This is why….

After I took this picture I turned around and Emma was in that same pink hue…

Stunning!

So, we did not get our water. The only water I saw was the holy water and that was not an option!

It was time to head home. The winds were picking up as you can tell from this picture of Emma in the grotto!

Emma’s ears were flapping in the breeze as we took off. As soon as we got home a giant drink was had by all!

Bless their hearts!

More pinkish hues later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

P.S. A little boy passed us today and said, “They have little legs”. hehehe

what a nice hike! we went for a walk today too…took a long walk around the park where the dog park is…but first on our way in we spotted 3 bassets off in the distance..so we had to verr off to say hi! it was our friend ilene with miss viv & charlie & a new friende “bubba” & his mom. they had just come from tracking class. we chatted for a bit & then miss viv & charlie joined us at the dog park for a bit. after wards buster, lowla & miss sally & i ambled around for about a 1.5 mile stroll.

it was good to be outside & to be one with the world…maybe make a little peace with those in charge & to say some quiet words.

now everyone is passed out & that is good too.

Wow Lois! You saw Charlie and Viv? I love those guys. I would have loved to been in that mix. Chaps might have had a problem with it. Poor Burger Boy!

Your walk sounds lovely. It snowed all day here. We are all longing for warmer temps and green grass.

What a beautiful day you all had. I bet the Mayor and Emma enjoyed the outing after being inside a lot this past season.
