14 years ago today!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and 14 years ago today lovers!
April 1st has been important to me for several reasons! My Grandma, on my Dad’s side, was born on April 1st! Her name was Lena!
I never knew her. She held me once as a baby.
But I think she was with me 14 years ago today when I closed on my new 2 family. I would like to think she was…
This photo was taken in about 2007. A local paper did a piece on us and about 2 families.
14 years ago today I bought bassethoundtown!
Just ask the Mayor….
It was the best thing I ever did!
More loving 14 years ago today later….Cat, Chaps and Emma
Yes, I remember it well and it doesn’t seem like 14 years ago. You had your list of accomplishments and of coarse the most important one was that doggie door. Lily and Chloe love going in and out now we have Chaps and Emma, you might say it is Well used.
We had tuna fish sandwiches and champagne that day. We sat at a card table and made big plans! That dog door was the best thing we ever did. I remember the carpenter measuring Lily’s girth. I was cracking up. Now that would have been a good blog posting!
We are all glad you moved in too! Love the menu! And how cool to have a custom measured doggie door. I can just see all of you sipping champagne!
What a wonderful memory and day to celebrate!
Is this the first comment from Grandma here in BHT? Making good use of that ipad! 😀
No, Grandma has been with us for a while now Kerry. And it’s so much fun to hear from her!
Whoever invented the doggie door gets a big hug and kiss from me. It is so nice not having to get up and let them out every time they want to go. And with 4 going in and out I’d be doing that half my day. Especially seniors who can’t hold it as long as they used to!
Cat, there’s not a better investment than investing in a home. I’m in my second home and plan on building one more to retire in. Owning a little piece of this earth is really cool. Sharing with your family…AWSOME.
i would say your grandma is still with you…it seems your relative4s like to check in from time to time…at least your dad does! i think that is a very cool think..nothing like a reminder from those you love letting you know all is good & right in the world.
Cat,
Basset Hound Town was the best thing you did for so many people and Bassets.
Ahhhhhh…….Thanks Maureen!
