Yesterday was glorious, but too hot for our Mayor!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Kite Flying Lovers…..Yesterday was Kite Days at one of our favorite parks so we packed up the kids and a picnic and headed out to view some cool kites! Howl much fun! That is until the Mayor threw up! Poor guy. We are not sure what happened to our Mayor and why he tossed his cookies but we loaded him right back into the Basset Hauling Vehicle and turned the AC on full blast.
You can kind of see a guy flying a kite through my windshield.
Grandma took the water bucket and got some fresh cold water.
I wonder if the heat got to him? It was in the mid 80s. We did not venture that far from the BHV before he lost his lunch……
Needless to say I did not get any pictures of the kite fliers. While I was writing this blog I googled kites just to see if I could find a whimsical shot and found this!
Now this is a kite!
We got the Mayor back home and he felt a bit puny all night.
Himz was back to himzself this morning!
I really want one of those hound kites!
More flying hound kites later…..Cat, Chaps and Emma
POOOOOOR Chapsy. I can tell you it most likely was the heat. I also feel a bit off when all of a sudden it goes from 35 to 78 all in one day! That’s how it’s been here in N.H. these days!
Yes, I totally agree Karen. Plus he is basically 70 years old wearing a heavy fur coat. Poor Mayor…
Chaps needs to gradually get used to the heat. It was pretty warm this past weekend but it felt good. Glad Chaps is feeling like himself again. Love the kite but I probably couldn’t make it fly. Ha!
Cindy – It would be fun to try and fly it! I see a lot of laughing and falling down! I would probably get dizzier! hehehe
I’m glad the Mayor has recovered, perhaps you could try a kite day again soon.
it was very warm here too..none of the brigade played at the park..everyone lounged around & looked pathetic. i thought..”geez we could have done that at home..”
today it is 25 degrees cooler…
Poor Chaps – with the heat on Sunday and the storms on Monday and possibly snow flurries this weekend – What is a guy going to do????
I know Judy, he is so delicate. I call him the Sun that we all rotate around.
