Pepto Bismol tablet makes another appearance!

Hollow Fellow Basset Hound and tricky hound lovers…..Yes our Mayor is one tricky hound!

This all started about 2 weeks ago. The Mayor was feeling under the weather. He could not keep his meals down and of course I was trying hard to make him feel better.

Here he is under my desk not feeling too good. I did not post it because he started feeling better pretty quickly.

I called Grandma and told her I was able to get a Pepto Bismol in him. I was so proud of myself. I was certain I got it down. It was wrapped in cream cheese and I had a cream cheese chaser.

Yesterday I was shaking the hair off of the dog bed cover.

When I came back in I saw this…

Howl did he do it? I even sat on the floor with him. Gently holding his head tilted up and massaging his shoulders. Remember, I had a cream cheese chaser. I was 100% certain it went down.

More finding it did not later…..Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

P.S. the scratch marks are from Emma. Some times she hears Grandma go down to the basement and she goes wild. She scratches and cries until her Grandma comes in and give her a treat.

Oh Shimlette!

Oh my goodness! Well, now you know it wasn’t the pill that helped. How funny!

We didn’t know our mayor was a magician!

I have had to give Slinky a Pepto Bismol tablet on a couple occassions. I have had to put it in a 1/2 tablespoon of wet food, and Slinky digests it that way.

liverwurst. works like a charm here…for the serious stuff.

of course here every day here is the routine…i say “who wants their medicine?”

everyone comes running…house guests, dogs 7 cats even when they were here.

everyone goes to their respective spots.

buster gets 2 sod boswellias & a cod liver cap
    lowla pheno & cod liver
sally cod liver & a benadryl if needed
anybody else gets just the nekkid butter knife

    all with the peanut butter

    from a coma the move.

from day one. makes it easier for when i have to give something

now with ear cleaning or anything else i break out the good meds: dried liver…that means i say: OH ______ got their ears done…2 ears, 2 treats! doesn’t matter if i sewed their leg back on..i have to say that…it’s the only time i break out the good stuff…gotta keep special stuff special…

sometimes if i am trying for a really hard photo i may use it sparingly but really it’s just for the ear stuff/sewing on legs.

i know we are all a little crazy here…what can i say…shoulda seen the can line up for peanut butter…

I always used liquid Pepto Bismol for my Maggie! I had a plastic syringe that the vet gave me, and I would fill it with as much Pepto as needed, stuck it under her jowl and between her teeth, and I slowly pushed it on in there! She LOVED it, and she just slooooowly swallowed as I injected it into her mouth!! What a good girl she was.

Love the liquid idea and all of the other ideas. Keep um coming! That Mayor still amazes me that he spit that out. What a smart boy! hehehe
