Basset Hound Baby Sitting at the MI Waddle…
May 18th, 2011 - 11:11 am KY Time
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Basset Babysitting Lovers…..OMD! I would have totally been in this room with all of the hounds instead of playing Bingo.
I went to the MI waddle about 8 years ago or so and remember the babysitting room. Yep, that’s where I was.
More enjoying the babies later….Cat, Chaps and Emma
I’d be in there playing “Biscuit Bingo!”
since I live in Michigan I have attended past waddles. I just wanted to hug everybody!! A full day of barking, baying and flying slobber! Belle is too old–I mean mature–to handle all the chaos now. She would rather I go alone and she will watch the video of the event in between her naps.
We went to the 2008 waddle and took Jethro and Rugby. We had just started fostering Oz and Harriet so we took them back to the kennel that they had come out of two weeks before. On our way back home we picked them up. We couldn’t handle 4 hounds and fostering O and H was a last minute decision. Anyway, we had a good time. We didn’t do any of the night time events or things where we couldn’t take our hounds. I guess we were party poopers! But I agree Cat, I’d much rather be in this room than any where else.
Cindy – Wow that was quite a drive!
It was! We left Santa Fe Texas and drove half way and stayed over night at a La Quinta Inn then drove the rest of the way. Coming back we stayed at the same La Quinta Inn cuz we were able to have the dogs. They were very animal friendly. And Rugby and Jethro were sooooo good. NEVER gave us a problem at all. Well, besides Jethro jumping a few bassets cuz he was getting attention and was not willing to share. But they were an absolute dream to travel with. Laid in the back so quiet that I forgot we had dogs! Never tried to run off, obeyed every command. Tolerated being leashed all the time. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
