Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and wondering what Emma is doing lovers. Today, I looked outside for Shimlette and saw her laying on the top step. Howl did she position herself like that?
See her cute back feet hanging off the step?
I saw Grandma out back and was trying to get her attention. I wanted her take a picture from the other direction…I just thought she looked so cute!
Is that the Mayor’s paw I see in the background?
“Excuse me Emma, can I get by?”
And then the cute moment was over….

P.S. Chaps didn’t go down, he just wanted her back inside with him. Control much?

Arent’t they silly? They can sure do the cutest things. I’m sure she just needed some vitamin D and made herself comfortable when she felt the warm sun.
What a cute series of pictures. That Emmers just melts my heart. She is so very barootiful and so very special. Mayor, you are one very handsome houndie. Hope everyone will survive the 4th. Some of us trailer trash folk like them loud noises cause there is nothing else occupying the mind, DUH. I am not fond of the 4th. Neighbors were blowing of firecrackers after 10pm. (inbreds)

So far, so good in my neighborhood. I think everyone is scared of burning up the neighborhood! Thank goodness. We’ll see what happens tonite. Hopefully it’ll be another quiet one cuz I’ll be scared to death if I hear fireworks going off. I’ll be outside holding the water hose looking for a fire! They closed all the firework stands at midnite on Friday. I thought it was stupid that they allowed them to even open!
Last night was hard on Chaps. He was in his man cave for a few hours. Tonight will probably be no different. As I heard the fireworks going off I also heard the ambulance heading out. Classic.

Just a quick one… I’m so glad you sent those pictures in for us of Emma with the measurements. It’s interesting to see how you measured. Normally we require a straight line, not the tape following the contours of the head like in your pics. This doesn’t matter though because we have so many pictures of Emma now! I hope you don’t mind.
It has led us to the conclusion that we need to have clearer instructions for out customers for how to measure (our instructions are a bit vague), the last thing we want is to people buy a size to big…
Having said that though, I have some good news. Dad is going to make a custom Optivizor specially designed for Emma! As she has a long snout we want to make sure it’s a nice fit but that she can also touch bump feel her way around without hurting her nose. We will ship it from down under for you. Poor girl, just wants a little peace and quiet in the sun. But, nooooooo, the brother has to bother her. hehehehehe
So cute!!! That Emma is precious — just takin in some sun for the 4th of July. Colby Chaps always lays across the hallway or a doorway and then Abby can not get by. She will just sit and cry on the other side…..we always say “The Cobly Bridge is Up” when we hear her crying.

Cat – the sirens last night were because some moron lit of fireworks and one went through an open window and started the house on fire !! Brilliant people.
Judy – that is so classic. I had a backyard neighbor that used to blow fireworks onto my roof. Why is this stuff allowed? Right now Chaps is in his cage and the nuts are out. If I were Queen, there were be NO FIREWORKS.
I’m so sorry to hear you have morons in your neighborhood. Hopefully it quieted down at a reasonable hour.
