Who wants a Lady update? Me, mememememe!

July 17th, 2011 - 2:02 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Lady update lovers!  I just love this girl.  She is pretty. Cindy, went to visit Lady at the vet yesterday and provided us with all of these pictures and updated information about Lady!

Well, Lady now has a foster Mom.  Her foster Mom will pick her up on Monday.  She did not want to leave Lady over the weekend but she had plans to go out of town.  It really was very fortunate for Lady.  The first week after the surgery is very hard on both human and hound.  You have to try and keep them quite and make sure they don’t rub the surgery site.  Anyway, look at our girl.  Herz swelling is down!

Is that a smile I see?

The technician, pictured with Lady, gave Cindy some of her favorite treats and boy did she ever go for them!

Just look at that sniffer going! Again, this looks so much like Emma.  Grandma always says, “Show me your teeth, show me your baby teeth”!  Too cute…..

Cindy really enjoyed her visit with our darling Lady.  Hey, Cindy – if you want to give us some more details that would be great!  I am sure I am leaving out plenty!

Yummy!  Those treats are really good!

Well, tomorrow is a big day for Lady.  Her new foster Mom comes to get her.  I sure hope the foster Mom keeps up with us and provides updates on Lady.

More Lovely Lady news later……Cat, Chaps and Emma

You did great Cat! It was a fun visit. Lady doesn’t give out kisses but she just loves to be hugged. So, I gave her the kisses and hugs too. I’m hoping the foster Mom will keep us updated on facebook. Maybe I’ll see Lady at some future events. Now that would be awsome! Lady seemed to know me both times I went to visit her. That was really cool.

So, I’ll keep you guys posted on as much as I can find out.

Ya know, another thing I remember is that when she had those nasty eyes, she wouldn’t look up. She kept her head down all the time and one time I picked her up and she didn’t like that. Now she’s looks up and around and she’s all over the place. Could that be due to the pressure she was having before the eyes were removed?

I bet you are right Cindy. That pressure can be horrific. The pain crushing. You can tell she feels so much better!

That’s something when you can tell in a few pictures. You can’t imagine what a change I’ve noticed with seeing her in person. And she was spayed at the same time! I’m thinking the intestinal worms were what made her so thin. Getting those nasty things taken care of is really helping her to start gaining some much needed weight. And it’s sad to think that she’s not the worse case that comes in to rescue.

Thanks Cindy for the update. She looks so happy and not in pain and more. Now she can know only love, hugs, kisses and lots and lots of treats!!
    It is a true blessing.

I can’t imagine the pain she must have been feeling with those eyes. She seems to be adjusting very well and relieved to be feeling better. Thanks for the pictures and the update Cindy.

I’m really happy lady got the vet care she deserved an needed. I’m glad she is doing well an us going to a good foster home. I was the one that found her on craigslist. Anyplace is better than the home she was at. I felt like I was rescuing her but I’m just a link in the chain to her forever home. Lady really is a wonderful dog. She’s great with children even small babies. I have a 9 month old an she was excellent around him. I hope to hear more updates on lady often. Thanks Cindy!

Your are right Lauren. You are a link, but a very important link, in the chain to her rescue. Now we pray for a foster failure!
