In Company with Angels…we were today and every day!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Angel Lovers. Today we were in the company of nine angels.
Seven were on exhibit at the Taft Museum and two are my every day angels. The first angel, Mayor Chaps, was none to pleased that I was going off to an angel exhibit. He pouted by the window, looking at the Canine Police Car. The officers live next door! I think everyone knows howl much I love canine service hounds!
My second angel was in the Mayor’s worry bed looking all ethereal.
But, Grandma and I really wanted to see the Tiffany angel installation at the Taft Museum. So, we pressed on.
Fascinating viewing and a pleasure to enjoy.
This was my favorite angel. I loved the morning star this angel was holding. It reminded me of Emma. Early Morning Misty Air.
This was Grandma’s favorite angel. She thought it was most fitting for the venue they were purchased for. A beautiful church that was demolished for a highway that was coming through. The windows were saved and stored away.
All seven Tiffany angels were discovered in a leaky barn not too long ago and are now on tour. They used to be in a local church.
Nice way to spend this day.
This is me reading about the angels in the garden. There was a jazz band playing.
It was all free!
More loving the nine angels later…Cat, Chaps and Emma
Oh, thank you. This sent me to the Internet for more information. My delight is that the exhibit will be 17 miles from my house in August-October 2012! Emma rocks!
Lucky you, Cat, and how wonderful that they were saved! I wonder if the exhibit will travel to Delaware or PA? My dear friend is a wonderful stained glass artist and he would love to see these, as well:) Love the windows and also your special angels, and hugs to them both!

I love stain glass windows, I’d love to see some of the window in the churches in Europe.
