The contest is over, and we have 12 hounds who will have their pictures on the months of 2012.
I wish I could create 18 more months, to have all 30 be up there. I can’t.
The count is checked and checked again, as I do that each day of the contest.
The top 12 are. In order of highest votes first:

And for the rest of the contestants, Congrats also, as you have certainly helped with the fundraising efforts for the Bounders. That truly is the bottom line of the calendar, and I am grateful beyond your imagination for the support and effort you have all put into getting votes for your hounds.
I know there is disappointment, but please look at it that you have made a huge difference to these seniors here. I look at their faces each day, and I can tell you, if you were to ever come meet them, you would realize that everything you have done, means the world to them, and to me. I am not good with words, but I have tears for the generosity and kindness of the folks who send support to the Bounders. You have my heartfelt respect and gratitude, each of you.
I will be sending out a newsletter on Monday morning with the announcement, and also announce to the DD tomorrow, but feel free to share with whoever you want to share with.
If you are one of the top 12, please email me with your choice of month and we will start to get them in place. 1st spot will get 1st choice and we will go on down the line.

Wow, Emma got a month! Thanks to everyone who voted for her. I just e-mailed Wen and asked for April! Sure hope we get it!

First Chaps, then Rugs, and now Emma. BHT is certainly filled with celebrities!
When the Mayor was on the calendar, Hannah didn’t want to turn the month after that (I believe we looked at Chaps for two months before finally conceding that we needed to see what the next date was). This year, I finally convinced her to turn the page after Rugs’ month sometime in August. If Emma gets April, I’ll have to get a back-up calendar May through December! We love Emma!
