Maybe the best day of Indian Summer and we are taking full advantage!

Howllow Fellow Basset Hound and Indian Summer Lovers…..Well, today was one of those in bassethoundtown.  I had tons of work to do but tomorrow rain is predicted so we harnessed up the hounds and went to the park.

Chaps was on the back porch smelling the air when I made my decision to bag the work and get going!

As you can see, I still have great flowers.  Yesterday, Grandma and I went to Lowes and found winter pansies for 20 cents a six pack.  I get mad sun on my back porch so I went for them.

It was just beautiful and perfect today.  Since the Mayor and Emma did not get to participate in the bassethoundtown walk we made sure they had their own!

Look at this photo op!

Then we moved on towards an open area Grandma spotted for another photo session!

This could be the money shot!  What do you think?

Of course the Mayor is always Money.

I had to horn in on his shot!

What a wonderful day.  We all got huge amounts of vitamin D and enjoyed maybe the money day of the fall!

More loving Indian Summer later….Cat, Chaps and Emma

I didn’t realize that you left the kids behind for the bassethoundtown walk. What kind of walk was it without the mayor?! Geez. I hope you came back home with some french fries.

I love the picture of Chaps in the fall leaves. He matches them!

Yes, Cindy, Chaps is so uncomfortable around other dogs, to the point of angry. He turns into a mean guy. Poor guy. Thank goodness I know his personality and keep him away for other dogs. He absolutely loves kids. Just look at him in that picture. His ears are all cropped up and of course he is worried. hehehe

What a beautiful day for everyone to enjoy. Cat, I envy you your garden. I can’t believe Our Mayor has difficulty with other dogs, he is such a leader, he is such a statesman, and he has such charisma.

I hope when we come to visit he will like Slinky.

Oh, Im so jealous of your wonderful indian summer!!! We’re STILL sitting in the dark here in Hudson N.H. The weather has been cooperating for all the tree and power line workers though. Temp here today was 58. But 40’s are forcasted for tomorrow. The power can’t stay off FOREVER, can it????? 🙂

I can see the caption now:

Pupparazze catch Mayor Chaps of Bassethoundtown out of the office enjoying the Indian Summer while the residents are slaving away working.

In the story to accompany the picture:

When reached for comment, Emma Rupert, the Mayor’s personal assistant said “The Mayor was destressing from his arduous schedule of worrying. Bassethoundtown was never in any danger. The slaves, Emma said, all have Bassets and know what they have to do for our comfort and well-being. And as for you, anymore slurs on My Mayor and I’ll have to send commandoes from the PBF after you.”

Mary, that had me lol. Our Mayor does worry! It’s looks like he is worrying in that pic as well. Even while destressing there is something to worry about. Poor guy. Well, this weekend is another Indian Summer period. We are so excited!
