Emma absolutely hates falling back!

November 6th, 2011 - 7:07 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Falling Back Lovers.  I for one don’t really mind falling back.  I actually kind of like it.  I actually love everything about seasons and changes.

Butt………Emma hates, hates, hates falling back.  Falling back means eating later and she is all about eating earlier.  Much earlier.

So today was going to be a challenge.  I calmed her down for a few moments in between the scream barking.

Emma got to eat at her normal time.  2:30 which was 3:30 yesterday.  All is well that ends well.  I tried but I just could not deny her.  We might try to move in 5 minutes increments as the weeks go on.

She was frantic!  Grandma was in the basement so I was going to go ahead without her but Emma dashed to the door and insisted that Grandma get herself up to my place ASAP.  Emma is so smart and cute.  She so loves her routine.  I think we all do…give or take an hour!

I feel your pain. I gave in too. But, mine won’t have a choice but to wait today because the food slave doesn’t get home until an hour later! Hey Cat, maybe that’s a good idea. Leave for a few hours and come back when it’s time for feeding.

Good luck with the adjustment everyone.

I hate it! Try explaining to a two year old that he should not be waking up at 5:30!

Cindy – I love that idea. She was so funny. I mean she was frantic. That little mouth was just a barking and barking and she kept showing us her little baby teeth.

I hate it. Dogs are waking up way too early and Gizmo thinks he should go to bed as soon as it’s dark!! I love the Emma story. You and grandma are definitely the best slaves Emma and the Mayor could own.

I took advantage of the warm weather and took Belle for a long late AM walk. She was too pooped out to eat early!

Sweet Emma! I am glad the Harville Hounds did not figure this trick out yesterday.

The solution is so easy, just give Emma and Chaps more in between meal snacks. As time where on, lesson the frequency and portion until its dinnertime.
