Join bassethoundtown for a holiday adventure!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Holiday Hound Lovers…..Well, today we decided to try and sneak into our favorite downtown building. They have a beautiful display of Christmas trees and it is just so festive. Turns out the SPCA was holding an adoption event so we blended right in. The security guard actually said we were not allowed in the building unless we were with the SPCA but he said, “what the heck” and offered to take our picture! Gotta love that holiday cheer!
It was funny, as per usual we drew a huge crowd and people were asking us if Chaps and Emma were up for adoption. Can you imagine Chaps and Emma up for adoption? It was pretty funny and fun!
Next stop Poinsettia Shopping! I hope the pictures do our local Ft. Thomas florist and greenhouses justice.
I wonder which one I should pick? hehehe
Grandma found the perfect plant!
Santas Little Helpers were waiting in the basset hauling vehicle.
The owner of the garden center struck up a conversation with me. He was telling me about the nicest looking basset hounds he had ever seen. He went on to describe MY DAD and howl this person he was going on and on about would walk these gorgeous looking hounds all over our town.
What a wonderful memory for him and now for me.
It was nice to hear about my Dad today. Very nice.
More loving greenhouses full of Poinsettias and memories later….Cat, Chaps and Emma
What a great photo!
You girls and hounds look fabulous.
What a wonderful comment about dad!
What a wonderful day all of you had. I love red pointsettas(sp), they are so rich looking. I don’t care for the pink or white plants.
Looks like you all had a wonderful day. The weather was really nice and warm. Rick saw you all at the bottom of our street with the BHV.
JB&A – that is too funny that Rick saw us. That was after we went to the Ft. Thomas nursery. We were going to take the kids picture down by that big tree at the bottom of your street but it didn’t look that great so we went for a short walk around the block. Wish you could have joined us!
Do you know that that tree was cut down from in front of St. Thomas school? When the city workers cut it down it went through the big glass windows in the front of the school. The windows are boarded up and that is why the top of the tree is missing!
No! What? I had no idea. I am shocked.
