Chaps, on the job. A man’s work is never done!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and on the job lovers.  Well, Chaps being the man of the house, has been helping Wade with some jobs on my list.  One of the jobs is re-painting my hallway.  When Emma was a baby I would keep her in the hallway when I ran errands.  She promptly chewed all of the baseboards and scratched all of the doors.  I figured since she is now almost 8, I would have that all spruced up.  (It’s about time).   Plus there is slobber about basset hound high all down the hall way.  I think most of the paint has worn off from trying to clean it.

Chaps loves to help and has been assisting Wade for days.  He lays and watches every paint stroke.  He also worries about it.

Wade had another job to go to today but the Mayor was reporting for work duty on time.

I thought he was so cute this morning.  Himz never lays in the hallway and I know for a fact he was waiting for Wade.

The Mayor is a great supervisor.  He is currently supervising Emma sleeping.

More extolling the greatness of the Mayor later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

That is too funny! He’s in a routine and you’d better not change it.

Speaking of slobber sickles, the walls where my dogs stay while we’re at work is totally gross. We do the floors but once a year I have to get down and wipe down base boards and walls. Slobber sickles are slung up to 4 feet high in my house. I have plans on doing some spring cleaning this May. Fun, fun!

This not the most constructive critism of our Mayor, but I think Chaps is observing Wade so he can tell him when he missed spot. Whe all know how madly particular the Mayor can be.

Oh how precious Chaps! Dad painted a basset line on our walls…I will try to blog about it now that you have brought it to our attention. I chewed base boards when I was a puppy too!!!
