Review of new TV show – Dogs in the City

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and review of Dogs in the City Lovers (?)…

Tonight this new TV series premiered on CBS hosted by the self proclaimed “dog guru”, Justin Silver.  I am watching this and taking notes at the same time.  Dogs in the City starts off with Beefy, the skate boarding bull dog.

Beefy

Beefy’s Daddy has recently gotten married and the new wife obviously is having problems.  Let’s see what happens.

OK, this has just started and now Justin is onto another dog and this segment is getting better.

Justin is darling and I think he truly cares about dogs.

This is an hour long show and it moves very quickly which is good for a show like this.  You get to see a lot of dogs in different situations.

The City is New York and there are massive amounts of dogs to visit. Justin will have a never ending supply if the show lasts.

The third segment has a little girl who will absolute steal your heart.  Her Dad is pretty pawsome as well.  Justin is just winning me over.

Back to Beefy.  Oh, Justin is getting really deep.  Hope this series is ON DEMAND. Beefy is so glorious.  At least the new wife is trying to fit in.  Personally, I think this relationship should have been worked on before the marriage.

The show goes on to tackle people problems which are the biggest reasons dogs struggle and I totally agree with that.  Justin is a dream and looks like a new reality star to me.

My rating is 4 paws up.  Give this series a try.  Very cute and lots of family fun!

More enjoying dogs on TV later…Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

PS – Looks like the Beefy pack is doing great.  Gotta love Justin!

thanks for the review Cat. I hope it’s “on demand” too, because I was so tired when it came on I fell asleep before the first commercial.

Well, the man with the remote at our house didn’t watch it so I missed out. Unless it was on after I went to bed. Looks like a really cool show. Maybe it’ll teach people how to work with situations instead of giving up and dumping the dogs at the pound.

I am sorry I missed it, but I will definitely check it out next time. I hope it is “on demand” as well.

Thanks for the review, Cat. It looked good to me too, but I have to wait for the computer programs to air it, if they do. Love that skate boarding bulldog “Beefy”! Maybe they will have Bassets on one of the shows. I’m sure there must be some living in the city!

Beefy is adorable. I didnt see anything wrong with him getting all the attention and being number one, thats how it is in my house.

the true test was the one with the model agency & the dog that attacked…right?! & the owner wanted/felt she had the right to keep the dog there in the office…at least he told her the dog shouldn’t be there.

it was an ok show..but honestly some of this stuff is such common sense…

but given that it is the city that said there will be an endless supply of dogs & people with issues…the berner was nice…huge tho..altho it has been a trend to breed them big over the past few years…

i liked it better than the dog whisperer…might watch it again…if i came across it..but wouldn’t go out of my way for it…

Oh, Lois….that model agency woman pretty dim. I agree, most of the stuff a true dog lover could figure out and solve their own problems or most likely the problems would be already corrected. I liked it better than the dog whisperer also. I quite watching that years ago. Too much barking and my kids got upset. I am also not a fan of all the pit bulls. After the DW the pit bull thing exploded with reality shows.

I am going to watch it. I will my support my boy friend, Justin. Just sayin’….hehehehe

I watched it and was kind of disappointed. That chick with the aggressive dog was an idiot. Wonder if he’ll check back on her. I loved the Bernese and Beefy was just adorable. i will continue to watch if only to see the dogs.

    Cat,

Have you found anything in your research on “Cod” that may be good for little Emma???? With my first basset hound I used to give him “cod liver oil” would that be in line with Cod, just wondered; but then you may research this in conjunction with the cod. Just a tought and wishing we could help.

Gabrielle – I have not given Emma any Cod yet and probably won’t until I do more research. Lois mentioned I should check it out as well. It is a liver cleansing diet promoted by Dr. Jean Dodd. I am also looking into cod liver oil as well. Thanks so much for your comment. I really appreciate it. We love all of the comments. Thanks so much….Cat, Chaps and Emma
