Well…this has to be a first…no pictures on our road trip???
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Road Trip Lovers….
Today, we loaded up the basset hauling vehicle and went to a near by KY state park. It is called Blue Lick Battlefield. It was about an hour and a half away. What a yawner! We were not impressed. We will not go back. I couldn’t even find a picture to day. That has to be a first for me.
The ride was pretty and Chaps really enjoyed getting out. We want to keep him doing things we always do which is taking road trips close to home. We absolutely love visiting KY parks and we have a list of many more. Not all of the parks are going to be bassetabulous but all of them are going to be fun because we are together…
Chaps could care less that we never found a Battlefield!
The best part of the trip was the laughter. We had some really great laughs.
So, we got home right in time for dinner…
And a movie!
No battlefields here!

M&S – We watched The Letter with Bette Davis. She looked to be about 19 or 20. I go to TMC (Turner Movie Classics) and view the entire month. I then record the old movies I want to watch. My Mom and I were talking about classics yesterday. Are there any modern day classics?

I’m a murder mystery buff! I love a good whodunit. Nothing gorey, just a body in the library and 9 suspects in the drawing room.
I did watch a movie the other night that bowled me over. I am a fan of Daniel Craig, and I had wanted to see the “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.” I decided not to watch it, because I heard that it was a horror story and gorey. Well it is not gorey, its a good thriller (you can’t come in 10 min. late-you have to see it from the beginning). Its EXTREMELY GRAPHIC and SHOCKING!
Loved that movie Maureen – I read half the book and hated it. I saw the Swedish version of the movie which was very good as well but all subtitles. I really enjoyed it but the ending was misleading. I don’t think that is howl it ended in the Swedish movie but I could be wrong.
Who needs a Battlefield?! Chaps does look happy in these pictures. Mommy knows best and your getting him through this gracefully. It’s good to see.
