In Kentucky…It’s the LAW! Everyone must bathe once a year!
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and KY Law Lovers….I am not kidding! This is an actual KY Law and come hell or high water we are going to abide by it! Today Chaps got his long over due bath and Grandma and I did it all on our own! Our backs are a little worse for the wear but boy oh boy was it worth it. Chaps did so good, actually the best he has ever done.
Grandma lead himz to the concrete mixing tub.
He actually walked right in! He was so good.
Grandma was in charge of the front end and I was in charge of the rear end! hehehe
Here is a 15 second video clip of the rinse cycle. He loved it. We rinsed him for about 7 solid minutes. He really enjoyed it.

Next we moved to the drying station…..
We rubbed and rubbed and the Mayor just soaked it all up. The weather was perfect today with no humidity.
Howl did I do Mommy and Grandma?
Perfect darling, but I on the other hand need to build up my stamina!
I went inside to change his bed. When I looked outside to check on them Grandma was giving Chaps a full body massage! Oh, it looked so peaceful and soothing….
Well, here is the finished, slight damp, result!
More abiding by KY law later…Love, Cat, Chaps, Grandma, and Emma ATB
Chaps, you are such a handsome sparkling clean boy now! Cat, you two did a great job, you are quite a team, a spa couldn’t have done better.
Wouldn’t look good for the Mayor to receive a ticket from the State of Kentucky!
Beautiful spa setting for Chaps and dedicated customer service.
How are his cysts doing?
Thank doG it’s only once a year! Chaps is just as handsome as ever. He looks to be posing for us in that picture. Too cute!
Dear Cat, Grandma, loveable Chaps and Angel Early Morning Misty Air,
You are all the BEST, thanks for sharing Chaps’ wash day!!! He looks so sparkly and adorable. Thanks for sharing!
OM – His team is taking him in tomorrow to check on the cysts. The one on his neck just looks not so good. So, probably best it comes off. I was so hoping not have to do this again. Dang it! I will keep you posted….
You should open a business.
