No food or water after 11:00pm for the Mayor….

July 25th, 2012 - 11:11 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Mayor lovers….Of course the Mayor cannot have food or water after 11pm tonight due to his surgery tomorrow.

So, I made him a special 10:00pm snack.

You can see a little bit of blood on his ear.  That is that stupid cyst thing bleeding on his ear.  I cannot wait to get it off.

See that pan?  Grandma and I are trying out a new feeding dish so his ears stay out of the food.  It is a meat loaf type of pan.

We were calling him “Loaf Man” today.

More loving 10:00 snacks later….Cat, Chaps and Emma ATB

Great idea with the meat loaf pan! The next time I buy bowls that’s what I’ll get.

My vet tells us no food after midnite but they can have water. They used to say not to let them have water but now they can. Not sure if they changed anesthesia or what but it sure is nice not to have to take up the water. My hounds get fed in the evenings and only once a day so they don’t have to go without anything before surgery.

Well, the Doyle household has 16 paws crossed for the mayor today. We know he’ll do just fine and it’ll be good to get those nasty cysts off.

Cat, Stay strong and know we love you and you are in my heart and prayers.

What a neat trick to use the loaf pan, only you can come up with it, and kiss that “loaf man” for me!

Thinking about all of you today. Keep yourself busy and that will make the time go faster until you can pick him up. We will be waiting for an update! Hugs.
