It is always so soothing to go see Dr. Leick…..
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Dr. Leick Lovers…Well, we went to see him today. Chaps was all spit shinned and ready for his appointment!
Grandma had his x-rays, blood test results and his pathology report.
Dr. Leick read and looked at all of the material. We discussed in more detail what this all could mean. Dr. Leick did not seem to be as certain as the other doctors that the cancer had spread but he thought it was still a good idea to consult with the specialist regarding the outcome of the pathology report. Here is where we need to gather information and ask questions. Basically weigh Chaps options. If we proceed with the ultrasound we will know if there is an area that is compromised with cancer. Then we can think about the next step, if is there is one.
One step at a time.
So, we concentrated on trying to help the Mayor calm his storm phobia and relieve some of his pain from aging.
Dr. Leick proceeded with the acupuncture treatment. If you click on the picture you can see some of the needles. Chaps did so good. He just sat there, just like the picture shows and stayed so still. The woman holding Chaps must have kissed his head about 50 times. She is so wonderful. The needles stayed in for about 15 minutes and we discussed Chaps situation and his age. Chaps will be 12 October the 17th.
Dr. Leick reiterated that we just need to take one step at a time and not get too caught up in the step after the next step. Take a deep breath and just be a calming influence for Chaps and ourselves. We have our next appointment with Dr. Leick in 2 weeks.
Thursday Chaps gets his stitches out and then I will make a consultation appointment with the specialist. I did the same thing for Emma and then we went from there.
Deep breath…and a treat…..
More taking it one step at a time later….Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma ATB
