Wanna see an old picture of Lily, aka – The Paddin’ The Child!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Lily Lovers – Well, this ought to start off your Monday morning in the right direction!

Lily1995

It’s Lily from 17 years ago!  Wow! We had so many nick names for her.  The Paddin’ was another way to say Lily Pad and The Child is just self explanatory.  I always referred to her as The Child.  She loved it!  hehehe

I bought some support dates for the Senior Hounds Abound Calendar and I was looking for a picture of Lily to send in.  It’s fun looking back at the loves of my life.

Have a great Monday everyone!

More loving looking back later….Cat, Chaps and Emma ATB

Cat, You manage to get the sweetest, softest, handsomest, hounds! Is Chaps your first male houndie?

Yes, Chaps is the one and only boy dog. Wow, he really changed my thinking about boys. I only ever wanted girl dogs but when the Mayor came along he changed my thinking. A boy is a joy and a girl is a dream. Love them both….

Lily was the my softest basset. Her coat was like spun silk. Just beautiful.

Oh, BTW – I found Rescue Remedy at Whole Foods. We are going to go get some more today. Tomorrow is Dr. Leick again and I want to give Chaps a drop or 2. He seems fine at the doctors but it can’t hurt. I want to talk to Dr. Leick about coming every 3 weeks instead of four. I can tell this last week that Chaps was ailing again from his hips. I cannot stand and will not stand for him to be in pain. I do have him on his anti-inflammatory but he has only needed it for a few days. I would rather do the acupuncture. For surez…..

I like both boys and girls too. Mom and Dad would always get us girl dogs when we were growing up. So, I naturally got a girl dog when I moved away from home. Then I got a boy puppy and he was the sweetest dog I have had. Well, Rugby is tied with him. I don’t think the sex matters. I do think females are easier to potty train but humans have the same problem. Ha!
