Mini leaf viewing trip cut short…
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and mini leaf viewing trip lovers…What was supposed to be a 3 night trip mapped out in a triangle through central KY turned into an overnight.
We are all fine.
The reason to cut it short was 50/50. My cold increasingly was getting worse and Chaps had an all night panic attack in the hotel room.
Neither one of us slept a wink. Chaps was acting like there was a thunderstorm and I was coughing my head off. I don’t think the 2 are related because I doing the same thing the day before and today. But, maybe it was more scary at night.
I know I scared the neighbors at dawn with my coughing.
Anyway, it was a real fiasco.
I am going to do a very detailed blog about our overnight because it ranks as one of the most dog friendly places we have found to spend the night…Thank Dawg I got Grandma her own room. Some birthday trip huh?

Aw, hope you both feel better – I know how much you were looking forward to the trip.
I feel so bad for you. I know how you look forward to getting away in the fall with grandma. I hope you feel better and get some sleep soon. I can’t wait to hear about Carter Caves. I have never been there.

Well dangit. I sure hope that cold goes away soon. I know you’ve been struggling with it for a while. I have a few friends that got that cold too. It’s that time of year. Poor Chaps. Wonder why he was acting scared? At least you have another dog friendly place to add to your list and you can always go back. Take care of that cold!

Get Well Soon Cat, we are sorry you had to cut your trip short. Rest and drink tea with honey. Sometimes that helps a cough. My favorite lately has been Hibiscus tea. Very healing.
Both get some rest. Make sure Grandma takes care of herself–no need for her to get sick.
