Tugger the lab pup – YouTube Find of the Day
Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and YouTube Find of the Day Lovers….
This morning I was up with the Mayor at about 4:00ish am. He has been restless and sometimes confused around this time, (could he wait a few hours?). Anyway, we get up and move around a little bit. This morning I was waiting for him to come in from the back deck and saw this video being passed around.
I thought I would share it with the residents…
After we went back to bed I had a dream that there was a pure white basset puppy laying on a table. I went over and picked it up and started kissing her belly and laughing and laughing. I was so happy. Grandma walked in and I looked at her and said, “can we keep her?” and she said yes!
That is funny for several reasons. After Emma we said never again to a puppy. Isn’t that mean? I can remember putting her in her kennel at night and collapsing from exhaustion. Gawd she was a handful but she was soooooooooo cute.
But I tell you what, if I walked by that table and that puppy was laying there it would be damn hard.
More loving dreams later….Cat, Chaps and Emma at the bridge probably laying on that table. hehehe
I feel for you. For the past few months Belle has gotten me up 3-4 times a nite just to go outside, stand out on the deck, come back in, get a treat and go back to bed. The past 3 weeks she has been sleeping for about 3 hours at nite, then gets up around midnight and paces around the entire house until 4am. I love her, but it is getting hard for me to survive on 3 hours of sleep a nite.
All puppies are adorable, but Labs are such suck ups.
With a Basset there is NO GREY AREA! You know where you stand with a Basset or if you don’t they will be happy to let you know your place in their life. Bassets are noble, and expect you to cater and indulge them. If you want to play fetch – 10 out of 10 times you will wind up going to get the item you threw if you want it–they’ll just watch with disdain and superiority.
I miss Our Emma sooooooo very very much. I especially miss you talking about her “patty”
Cat,
Oh was she ever pretty even as a young pup. Didn’t I see shark teeth when she was chewing on the stuffed toy?
And the Lab was cute. It looked like it was very very young since it was so small. Maybe 4 or 5 weeks?
I never get to You Tube to look for videos. Thanks for finding good dog ones.

That video of the lab playing with the door stop reminds me of Jethro when he was a puppy. He managed to chew up ALL my door stops in our old house. Ronald would get so mad at him.
Loved watching that video if Emma again. What a beautiful memory.
