Howllow Fellow Basset Hound and Sandy Hook Student Lovers…

The Mayor and I want express our extreme sadness and grief for all of the little souls that were lost today as well as the other brave souls who tried to help them.

There is not a moment that goes by when the Mayor and I don’t think about our safety when we visit an elementary school. Sad, but true.

It is a very odd feeling to feel apprehensive when reading to a first grade class but I always did.

Most of the schools seem to have some form of security and that is an even odder feeling.

The kids are so sweet and bright.  They just love to share their own dog stories with us.

So innocent.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and 121212 Lovers…Wow, what a day.  It was sunny and the Mayor woke up all bright eyed and bushy tailed.  Guess what he did?  After breakfast he went out back and actually went down 12 steps, just like a young pup!

See him up on the hill?  What a sight to see.  I was almost afraid to run get my camera.

He has not been up on the hill for quite awhile.  What a holiday gift for his Mom and Grandma and I suspect all of the residents of bassethoundtown.

Who says you can’t go home?

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and and Cute Stance Lovers…Chaps did so great today at his acupuncture treatment.

Chaps took Dr. Leick and his wife the Lily book for the Howl-o-days.

A good time was has by all.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Mayor Lovers…It has been awhile since I blogged about Chaps and his health.  He is doing really good.  Today I called him a young pup as he galloped to greet Grandma as she came in to help get his dinner ready.

Grandma also washes his face and ears after dinner.  Look howl pretty!

His ear infection is under control and we have figure out it was absolutely a part of the jolting.  Of course the static also played a part.  As we all know there is seldom one thing that causes a reaction.

The acupuncture is a Dog Send and brings us all such comfort.  Tomorrow we have another session.  We are going once a month.

So, good news all around for the Mayor and therefore his Mom and Grandma.

I was sniffing around my old files from the blog and ran across this artist rendering that was sent into me by a 12 year old girl, (I think).  It got me to wondering about the residents that visit often, and then you never hear from or of them again.  I wonder what happens to them?  Well, I am indeed glad this person was a resident for awhile back in 2007.  Look at this…

I got the biggest kick out of it. Look at Emma on the mantle. I am just cracking up.  So cute.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Mall Adventure Lovers…There is nothing better than going to the biggest mall in the area during the Holiday Season!  We make sure most of our shopping is done so we can enjoy the day.

Then it’s off to the stencil kiosk…See him cutting out the stencil of the Mayor.  We logged right into my blog and pulled up my Trademark Picture!

2 minutes later I have a new black hoodie!  Love it!

Next stop, the Apple Store to put Emma up on the largest screen they have.

Good times.  I am sure she brought some smiles to holiday Apple shoppers…

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Christmas Tree Lovers…

I love to share this video with the residents.  It is a YouTube we made back in 2006.  I am shocked that it only has 427 views.  Ya never know on YouTube.  Howl ever, I know it is a hit in bassethoundtown so I must share again.

I actually got a bit choked up seeing our girl so pretty and having so much fun.

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Facebook find of the day lovers…I was just over sniffing around facebook and saw these pictures from a “friend” in a far off county.  I could not read the post but I sure understood it!

I thought this guy looked like a very young Chaps….

Then the fun and games were over!

Just look at that ear!

Can you imagine this guy beating you back home and going through the dog door?

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Howl-o-day Card Lovers…The Mayor is proud to present this 2012 spectacular greeting.

First Grandma and I had to go get a few Poinsettias for the occasion!

This is the nursery that is within walking distance of our home.

We just love Ft. Thomas Florist and Greenhouses. 

Here I am blending in nicely with all of the Poinsettias.

Let me tell all the residents that it was not hard to pick the perfect card.  Chaps really cannot take a bad picture!

Even the outtake was near perfection!

What a Joy to the World it is to have the Mayor in our lives.  Each day is a blessing.
