Daisy Lynn is a bed hog!

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and bed hog lovers…All of us who sleep with bassets know they are certainly bed hogs but poor Enzo had to learn the soft way!
Let the Alpha girl role carry on!
More bed dog hogs later…Love, Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB) napping on fluffy clouds…
Sophie rolled Nell right out of bed the other day … there is plenty of room for both of them, but Sophie (being a basset hound) tends to control who gets space. Poor Nell … 13 1/2 years old now and being pushed around by young hound.
OM – What a blessing that Nell is 13 1/2. That is just wonderful. Little Daisy has been pushing Enzo around but this morning he decided he had enough and play/fought back. You should have seen her face! The old man still has it in him! hehehe He sounded like a pig grunting…Oh, yes we must keep in mind that both RoRo and Enzo have a cat at home who is the KING of the jungle!
Nell’s a bit blind and deaf, but doing great for an old Sussex Spaniel that was near death when we rescued her just over 5 years ago. I’ve made it my mission to make sure that whatever years of Life Nell had left would be filled with comfort and love and plenty of snacks.
I have to chime in here and tell you OneMom that I’m sure you are giving Nell her dream life come true. Rescues appreciate us more than we realize. She’s the same age Rugs was. She has lived a great 5 years with you for sure.
Hi Cindy – I’m sure that Nell appreciates us, but I’m not so sure she appreciates having a basset hound push her out of bed. This was the first time I’ve seen Sophie actually “roll” Nell and not just crowd her out. 🙂
Poor Nell. Sophie needs Daisy Lynn to push her around. hehehe
Cat – well, Sophie and Daisy would probably team up and Nell would still be left on the floor. Actually, Sophie is kind of wimpy, so I’m sure Daisy would conquer all.
This photo is sooooo Bassety. I have a queen sized bed, and I try to share it with Slinky. But with Bassets being Bassets! Slinky is not comfortable unless she is in the middle/center in the entire bed with me on the edge. If I change her position, she works back to the center/middle of the bed. I think she feels I am an intruder or something for a little extra warmth if she needs it.
