The Daisy Flip!

July 16th, 2013 - 6:06 pm KY Time

Howllo Fellow Basset Hound and Daisy Flip Lovers…

Daisy was outside with her Grandma this morning, baking on the pavers.

I had to laugh because the pictures Grandma took reminded me of flipping a grilled cheese over in the skillet.

OK, this side is done…

Now flip!

Lunch anyone?

More loving our little grilled hound later….Cat, Daisy Lynn (Chaps and Emma ATB eating grilled cheeses filled with Havarti, their favorite;)

I think it was hot enough today that you could have made a grilled cheese sandwich on those pavers! She is beautiful!

I have never seen a basset hound that looks like two different dogs until we met Daisy Lynn. 🙂

You are so right about looking like 2 different dogs depending on which side you look at. How different. But very pretty!

Mayor Daisy looks like she has a very very soft patty!

Is it her day off or was she scheduled out of the office on a “mayoral conference”?

I know, it is very odd to watch her and see two totally different looks. Very, very interesting indeed. So far, she is extremely healthy, not allergic to anything, not noise phobic, very sweet and loves others dogs and does not drool. I actually have never had a prolific drooler. Chaps was the biggest drooler but his was not even that bad, just after drinking water and I wiped 95% of that off of him so his neck would not be wet. Daisy loves her life and adores her dog door. She is in and out about 200 times a day. She is so funny because when I am at my computer, like now, she will stick her head in and see if I am still sitting here. Too cute. I can also lift her which has never happened before. She is holding steady at 39 to 40 pounds which is a big lift for me but dog knows I can do it if necessary. She also does not use the ramp when we get in the Basset Hauling Vehicle. I put her paws on the running board and then boost her up. She could actually jump but I don’t want her jumping in and out of the car. So…howl do you like my summary of our new Mayor? hehehe I hope all of the residents and resident hounds are doing well. We love all of you in bassethoundtown…Cat and Daisy Lynn Rudert

Debra – she was deep in thought over policies decisions in bassethoundtown!

Funny you mention the mayor drooling after drinking water – Sophie does that, but I don’t have to mop up because Mabel cleans it all up as it’s spilling out of Sophie’s lips. 🙂 Unfortunately no one cleans up as it spills out of Mabel’s lips!

I wish I were that lucky. Jethro is a total basset disaster. He drools most of the time, his ears rake through his food, he has halitosis and won’t let me hardly touch him. He’s the grouchiest dog I’ve ever had. But I still love him to death. We manage to get a bath and wiped down on occassion when the mood is good. It’s just not as often as needed. Ha!

Daisy Lynn sounds like a dream dog come true. You are very lucky to have her and I KNOW she’s very happy to have you. That is way cute about her sticking her head in to make sure you are still there. They are so silly sometimes.
